What socks/foot things do you wear with loafers?

Just that really! And where can I get them from? Can't find anything that doesn't show/fall off when wearing loafers with jeans.

Thanks

There is this thing about loafers that they look better worn on bare feet. If going the socks route, I would choose a color that coordinates with the trousers and the shoe - shades like blue gray, ecru etc, not white or black and never tennis socks. My brother is in IT and in geek culture you might wear bright clashing patterned socks.

I have this issue with ballet pumps for summer too. Agree they look best on bare feet but comfier with a little liner.

Tx maxx had a great selection of liners last time I was in and I bought a few different types. None of them showed but without fail they just come off inside my shoe. Total failure! Would be interested in any tips.

I bought some teeny tiny foot cover things from TK Maxx. They're Pringle make and cotton and the have a little rubberised bit that goes over the heel to stop then falling off. I get sweaty feet if I don't wear cotton socks (how lovely). You can't see them when I wear brogues but they peek out a bit in ballet pumps.

I agree they're best without socks but not as comfy. I find foot lotion helps a lot as it reduces the friction yet, weirdly, doesn't feel sweaty.

I sometimes add insoles, lots of different textures, coconut fiber is my summer fave but plain leather can work too. For colder seasons, I slip in lambswool or felt insoles. You can sprinkle talcum or cornstarch inside the shoe too to keep your feet dry, this is the norm in warm countries. Borotalco ir Granado foot powder.

Never heard of coconut fibre insoles - must seek out.

I have some tiny footsy things which I bought from Next, with little grippy bits on the heels. They only just cover the toes and heels, so can't be seen under most shoes.

But to be honest, I usually just go without.
