How can I get my shoes to stay on my feet?

I seem to have issues getting high court shoes that I wear to work to stay on my feet. I can't understand it - they kind of slip off my feet at the back. To be honest, I think the backs of my ankles are weird - I can't wear sling-backs at all because they just slip off, no matter how tight they are.

So, is there any thing that could help my shoes stay on my feet please Hmm?

I am the same and cannot wear certain shoes, slingbacks are the worst. Even the saltwater sandals are feeling like they will slip down at the stap crossing over at the back, i can feel them come down marginally. I have considered a little grip at the back. Not sure if it will work. Sadly i cant put insoles into sandals but there is a cushion type thing you can put on the shoe so that it hits the ball of your foot. This will im sure stop the foot from sliding forward.

I have the same issue, narrow heels. Heel grips can help but don't work in all shoes. I tend to wear sandals or sling backs rather than courts.

I have linked plastic clear straps for shoes above howoapprachthis they are less than £2 for 2 sets.

pumpkin sorry but those look awful, might as well bung some sellotape round my foot Grin
however I might order some to wear with a nice pair of wedge sandal slingbacks that won't stay on, because I bought those shoes to wear with trousers so the fugly factor won't be so much of an issue.

Pumpkinette · 18/04/2015 18:32

Yeah I agree they look awful - a bit like clear bra straps but as you said handy for heels worn with trousers.

Oh my goodness I thought I was the only one! I put it down to my general clumsiness.
I have learnt to love Mary Janes and have a nice collection, but quite a few suggestions on here I'm going to try.

Angeltulips! Yeah for your geekiness Smile I think you have hit the nail on the head.

So, any idea where I get court shoes in a narrow fit?Grin

Joining the club. My feet are wide at the front, narrow at the back and with very high arches (the instep is the bit at the top of your foot!). So shoes that fit me at the front flap around at the back. I can't do ankle straps as I have short legs. First world problems galore.

I don't really have any solutions, but I was so desperate for a pair of well-fitting shoes for my wedding that I had a pair made to measure, both were adjusted for width and also had a mary jane strap. They were uncomfortable after a few hours of dancing but I'm looking forward to wearing them again.

howoapproachthis I have the same fantasy, I found these a while back, unfortunately they are Chanel Grin

I have something sexily named Haglunds Deformity, amongst other crap it means my heels bulge out, and i can't get shoes to fit, without slipping up and down. The suede sticker things don't work and half insoles just force the sticky out centre of my heel into the back of the shoe. Have concluded I'm destined to wear flip-flops

I size down in heels. They have to be really snug to stay on I've found.

redhat · 29/03/2016 19:29

Me too. I can only wear mary jane style with a strap over the ankle.
