Does anyone know a good foundation for very dry skin?

I have been using Bourjois CC Cream which is really good but I need something with a bit more coverage. I have such dry skin that most foundations seem to leave dry patches in certain places on my face even after using moisturiser and/or primer - I am a bit of a perfectionist with foundation and hate looking like I've done a bad job, which is how it looks when this happens.

Does anyone have similar problem and know a good foundation?

Thank you, what a pleasant surprise that it isn't beyond my budget.

one thing that eliminated my very dry skin completely was using a soothing facial toner before moisturiser. I just pat it on after washing my face (I don't use it for removing make up, just to prime my skin) and add it before moisturising. I can't do without or I get incredibly dry skin. Must be alcohol free!!!

When you moisturise it doesn't actually really lock in the moisture unless your face is slightly damp - e.g. it needs some watery liquid there in the first place to lock into your skin. Hence if you use a nice gentle toner before you moisturise it keeps the moisture in and prevents drying.

I make my own soothing toner from pure rosewater and vegetable glycerin - just mix together (it's a watery consistency that feels very soothing) and pat on before moisturising. Rosewater is toning and gentle and glycerine is a humectant which helps to hold moisture into the skin.

Then also try to make sure you use an alcohol free moisturiser (most commercial ones contain alcohol) as alcohol is in itself drying. These days I just use something basic and pure, like pure hemp seed oil for moisture as it's pretty non-greasy and is amazingly healing for the skin. You only need a little and leave it to soak in for a few minutes before applying makeup.
