How best to remove gel nails at home?

I know I need to soak pads in pure acetone and wrap in tin foil, but then what? Do I just scrape it off?

Was it gel extensions or gel polish?
indont have any experience of the brand mentioned. I'd give up on soaking, acetone is incredibly drying on the nails and skin around the nails. I'd just try buffing the remainder off and if that fails I'd pop back into the salon

Go back to the salon. The first few times I had gel polish done I got it off no problem with the tinfoil method. After that I couldn't get it all off no matter what I did. Don't know why, wondered if my nails had become more porus or something

gel polish.

I think you're right about leaving it now, it's not having any effect.

I had this problem once when I had cheap gel polish rather than shellac or gelish. I phoned the salon to ask how they get it off and they suggested filing it off! Left me with ruined nails and I'll never use a salon that doesn't use a reputable brand again!

oh dear Hazel, I don't like the sound of that!
