If you use a 'higher end' lipstick can you tell me which you like and why?

I don't really wear lipsticks, they always looked rubbish on me, never lasted and seemed to draw attention to my less than perfect lips.
I have started looking after my lips and face recently and now they are much smoother and nearly line free, so I thought I might try again!
On Saturday I was passing the Chanel counter in boots and thought ' what the hell' and tried on a couple of coco rouge allure. I was blown away. What a difference between those and something I could get in superdrug. I had no idea.
I'm sorely tempted to buy one, but then I wondered what some of the other posher brands are like in comparison to channel. I would have gone to other counters but I had become over whelmed!
So I thought I'd ask here.
Thanks Smile

Tom ford - bought it as a birthday treat but it's fabulous. The Colour suits me so well and lasts forever

Cost a fortune but worth it

Tom Ford makes chanel seem like rimmel.

ZeroFunDame · 23/04/2015 21:07

It's sadly true that once Tom Ford lipstick enters your life it's almost impossible to remember that any other brand exists.

I don't know what the reason is. They feel miraculous going on. It takes a while to work out exactly how best to use one - but it's the only thing that, catching a glance of my reflection, actually surprises me in a good way.

Bugger, move over a Chanel then. Glad I still haven't actually bought anything yet!

Mac Sheen Supreme in bare again, looks like a lipgloss without the stickyness. Currently 10% off on Debenhams online.

woodhill · 24/04/2015 09:35

sure you sound like you don't agree? Smile

I like the texture and I prefer a lipstick which is sheer which is flattering and subtle. not drying
