they look, um, challenging to wear....

mousiemousie · 01/11/2006 16:05

I saw Telegraph the article & photos - thought they looked good!

cupcakes · 01/11/2006 16:09

it's in grazia too.
There's one shirt dress I like (the expensive one) but the rest are too 'unusual'.

MrsBadger · 01/11/2006 16:10

article here

expatinscotland · 01/11/2006 16:10

Grazia always features close for freaks or runway models.

cupcakes · 01/11/2006 16:11

it's the first time I've bought grazia in months and it was mainly because I wanted to see these Gap dresses.

MrsBadger · 01/11/2006 16:12

shirt dress looks remarkably similar to my £10 Primark one

expatinscotland · 01/11/2006 16:12

I stopped buying Grazia after the 4th cover of Posh and/or Kate Moss in as many weeks.

They're both mingers.

mousiemousie · 01/11/2006 16:13

Telegraph photo shoot much nicer than the times one by the looks of it

All the dresses seem to be short ones though

mousiemousie · 01/11/2006 16:14

MRs B you show off!

Some of us are miles from any PRimark store but Gap gets evwerywhere!

bluejelly · 01/11/2006 16:16

That lily cole is so bloody skinny!

TheDaVinciCod · 01/11/2006 16:17

and look like an aleian

OP posts:
bluejelly · 01/11/2006 16:17

Sorry that's a bit of an obvious statement but jeez, she's like a daddy long legs

expatinscotland · 01/11/2006 16:18

I find Lily Cole repulsive. She looks like a walking corpse - her face all swollen like a corpse that has been sitting out a while.

She's vile.

bluejelly · 01/11/2006 16:19

The opposite of sexy
Did any of you see the 'london paper' yesterday
They chopped off the heads of celebrities' pictures and showed the bodies to men, asking which they found the most sexy
Jade goody won!

mousiemousie · 01/11/2006 16:20

these are some of the photos I saw
here

expatinscotland · 01/11/2006 16:20

OMG! Jelly!

Was her 'kebab' showing?

bluejelly · 01/11/2006 16:23

LOL
Actually she didn't look too bad
coleen mc whatsit was second
Nicole richie came last
Made you realise how out of touch the fashion celeb world is with what people ( well men anyway) look for in a woman

florenceuk · 01/11/2006 16:25

I liked the grey shirt dress - good for work. but can't see myself battling into Oxford St to buy one especially. They do all look like mini-dresses but that could just be the height of the models? I think Grazia is for those a bit younger at heart (fashionwise) than the average mumsnetter!

bluejelly · 01/11/2006 16:29

I like the black shift dress

expatinscotland · 01/11/2006 16:33

they really don't strike me as anything special, tbh.

i don't like mini's at my age, and the wearing them over trousers look doesn't work for me b/c i am only 5ft., 3 in.

bloodyhowler · 01/11/2006 16:39

I like them

kikki · 01/11/2006 17:49

Can I ask what you would prefer Roland Mouret to design, another pair of boring khaki's perhaps? RM is a top end of the market fashion designer. In designing for the Gap, he has alot of constraints in terms of fabric choice, cost effectiveness in mass manufacture etc. I think his capsule collection marries his innovation as a designer well, with the fast turnover, unfussy basic style that is the Gap's trademark. You can never please all of the people all of the time.
He is not trying to design clothes for the Gap that will appeal to the masses, he is merely raising his profile as a designer and no doubt some capital aswell, to be able to continue making clothes for the elite of society. The Gap are just trying to keep up with their high street rivals in collaborating with designers much as H&M has with Stella Mc Cartney and Yohji Yamamoto with Adidas etc.

TheDaVinciCod · 02/11/2006 09:42

oh fgs
