You know the tan A-line one that all the style mags have been raving about...
How would you style it..
I don't have it, bit my lovely DM has just given me her vintage version which is very similar (bit darker tan). Amy suggestions or pics?

I really like it but like you I don't know what to do with it now the warmer weather is coming!

hettie · 05/04/2015 16:22

I've googled and seen a few images with sandles and plain t-shirts

It'll be too hot for it in sandal and t-shirt weather. A denim version would be much more useful in the summer.

For now, maybe with a 70s-esque blouse?

hettie · 05/04/2015 16:35

I've got a peasant type blouse, and a dark grey polo neck (i think grey is the wrong colour though) What footwear do you reckon? Ankle boots, long boots? Pointy loafers?

This is a nice look

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2015 16:38

Ankle boots here Ignore dodgy neck thing!

tethersend · 05/04/2015 16:42

Knee high boots, clogs or high loafers would work well.

Polo neck with long pendant necklace, waistcoat, denim jacket, cord blazer (not all at once Grin)

Think Cagney and Lacey Wink

tethersend · 05/04/2015 16:43

Pussybow blouse would be great.

hettie · 05/04/2015 17:02

Tethers Grin... Actually DM has the matching belted waistcoat/short sleeved jacket (but I thought it would be a bit too much)... I've got high loafers (not sure). Remus, I like the sweatshirt, will have to try out a few.

I do not like those loafers at all, but I am a bit of a 70s purist.

If you have the matching short sleeved jacket Envy I would wear them together with a polo neck underneath and high knee boots. I have a suede skirt and waistcoat set, but I haven't been able to fit into it since before DD1 was born Sad.

But yes, a sweatshirt if you want to dial the 70s down a bit. I'd still wear it with clogs though Wink

FrancesFarmer · 05/04/2015 18:30

Any time I've experimented with skirts like that, I've found that while they look good from the front and side, they look awful from the back.

tethersend · 05/04/2015 18:30

Clogs

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/04/2015 18:33

Sorry but absolutely no to those loafers. Knee high boots would be good (heeled ones) although I personally try to avoid knee high boots once April begins.

Heeled ankle boots maybe? With tights and a polo neck?

Tan heeled ankle boots and grey sweatshirt? But what tights? Grey? Wine?

hettie · 05/04/2015 18:46

OK, so it's a no to the loafers then Smile...I have blardy neurotic feet, so find spring and summer shoes a nightmare at the nest of times. love the idea of clogs tethers, but in the past that have broken my feet... Mme, tan ankle boots are a possible, but yeah tights are a confusion... God, maybe I should put the bloody thing on eBay...

How about heeled loafers?

hettie · 05/04/2015 19:15

Ohh I love those!

Here's a blogger styling the M&S skirt. Looks lovely on her, actually (Envy OP! ).

BigPawsBrown · 05/04/2015 20:28

Cream lace long sleeve top Id say

hettie · 05/04/2015 21:44

That blog post is amazing, loving the orange skirt. Right, you've all spurred me on to make sure it gets lots of outings this spring. The search for some tassled or fringed loafer type shoes begins Grin
