Le Roche Posey has irritated my skin. What to do?

I spent all my boots points on the face wash, day cream and face scrub.
I got the ones for sensitive skin.

But, after using for a couple of weeks ( only using the scrub twice a week) my skin has bumps over my cheeks.

I can usually use anything on my skin and it doesn't react.

So I've stopped using them to see if my skin improves but I'm gutted because it was a waste of my points!

I don't have a receipt.

Oh my goodness, me too.

I had seen all the rave reviews here so dutifully bought some in s bid to help my slightly spot prone skin. I came up in bumps/really deep white heads all over my cheeks. At first I thought it was co incidence and kept slapping the stuff on, gleefully telling these spotty bumps that this stuff would be their demise...

I only twigged when I forgot to apply one night and woke up the next morning to find my skin significantly better. I stopped using it a week ago and it's still not perfect, but a lot better than before.

It did this to me too! Fairly big bumps under the skin all over, it was weird.

After coming recommended as the best by a dermatologist, I was kinda disheartened and it made me stop washing with anything but warm water and a flannel for a good while.

I'd take it back and ask to see if they can refund it anyway. Perhaps they can check your point statement or something.

I have been washing with Superdrug hot cloth cleanser and a flannel for 2 weeks with no reaction but nice clean and comfortable skin. It's lovely to use and it's sooo much cheaper!

I've gone back to my cheapy superdrug hot cloth cleanser.

its purging. google it.quite comman with these kind if skin priducts I read after it started happening to me when using Le Roche. Lasted about 1 month and became really bad. Huge lumps allover and in my hair line. Then suddenly it stopped. My skin has been great since. Hardly a sinlge spot. Even when I do get one now its small and gone with in a day or 2.
Stick with it. Its hard but I'm so glad I did. My skin is the best its been for 10 years!

Thanks perfect.
I normally never get spots though.
I'm not sure I can face a whole month of it.

Caroline Hirons says purging is a myth.

There's no way I could deal with that kind of reaction for a month either. Funnily enough, when I googled it someone had suggested using LRP effaclair duo on it. I did and it burnt like hell. After washing many times I had to sit with a wet flannel over my face until it wore off. I very nearly called 111!

I think I've realised what's wrong.
When I bought it from boots there was a rep there who handed me what I needed.
She have me the gel cleanser for combi skin instead of the cream cleanser for dry.
I wish I could swap it.
Do you think an email to la Roche would be worth doing.

Take it back to boots. There surely must be a way to track when you bought it after all loyalty cards track your purchases to offer you deals

lunalovegood84 · 06/04/2015 23:08

I didn't get bumps but that Effaclar Duo made me incredibly itchy.
