Face wash for DRY skin (not cream!)

As title says really.

Not a big fan of cream cleansers but I have dry skin.

Currently rest of regime is La Roche Pose. I'm in my early 30's.

Don't really mind of price but I'd prefer something that wasn't full of chemicals/fragrances/parabens etc.

Suggestions?

Thank you!

I'd go for a balm cleanser as face washes tend to be full of foaming stuff that dries skin out more.

If you are dead set on a face wash product, look for non foaming products (the SLS that makes the foam is very drying) like cetaphil. They will be more 'creamy' in texture but are rinse off cleansers like foaming face washes.

I've been using the Bobbi Brown face wash for years, and it doesn't dry my skin out at all. Oh and the pot is huge and lasts forever.

The Ren cream cleansers are also good too.

Kiel's
Clarins

Both do one for dry skin.

I am using the Kiel's one at the moment which is soap free, low foaming, and doesn't leave my skin feeling parched afterwards.

What about a hot cloth cleanser? or oil/gel?

I know a lot of people find LRP very drying. I did too.

I use Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm to clean my skin, but I have a normal skin type, so you might find it a bit drying. It is very straightforward though - no clogging ingredients or fragrances and does a fantastic job of removing make up without leaving skin feeling 'stripped', tight, or on the other end of the spectrum, greasy or like a 'film' has been left on it.

The Emma Hardie cleansing balm is good for drier skins, I found it a bit rich for mine.

(I massage the balm into dry, 'dirty' skin and then use a muslin cloth to take the balm off with hot/warm water)

Elemis pro collagen cleansing balm, it's gorgeous!

Rinkydinkypink · 02/04/2015 14:27

Coconut oil or liz earles hot cloth cleanser. I know neither of these if a face wash but I have terribly dry sensitive skin and they've transformed it.

I love Cetaphil - I have dry skin that gets sore in winter & it's really soothing.

Milkandmarmite · 02/04/2015 21:47

Shu Uemura cleansing oils are the mutts nuts. They do a gorgeous one for dry skin. Rinses totally clean, nothing else comes close if you don't want a cream.

Allie82 · 04/04/2015 11:03

The merumaya melting balm is great and a cheaper alternative to Emma Hardie. I alternate it with cetaphil but I rinse it off.

MamaLazarou · 04/04/2015 11:12

Dermalogica precleanse

Pancakeflipper · 04/04/2015 11:17

Just loitering with intent to order all products mentioned.

CMOTDibbler · 04/04/2015 11:32

cetaphil has been a revelation to me - my skin feels really cleansed but not tight afterwards. And a sensible price!

Bluebird1234 · 04/04/2015 13:29

ArseTooBig · 04/04/2015 13:39
