Has anyone tried Egyptian Magic Balm?

There are lots of fakes about, how did you find the genuine thing?

And does it work?

Have a look on Cult Beauty

Tried some on the back of my hand and I came out in a rash.

Liberty sell it.

Kundry · 29/03/2015 17:14

What do you want it to do? It isn't magic or Egyptian. It's just a greasy moisturiser.

Four125 · 29/03/2015 17:16

I was asking on behalf of DD, she thinks it will be magic.
I didn't really know what it was.

If your DD is a teenager with spotty skin, it will probably be a disaster Sad

What does she want to improve in her skin? Maybe we can come up with some cheaper suggestions Smile

Four125 · 30/03/2015 09:13

She is a teen but she isn't particularly spotty, her skin is very much combination and she has some dry patches, she's outdoorsy so I think it's the weather.

They sell it in Costco...about £28 for two tubs. Not bought any, but linger every time I pass it! I'm a sucker for anything 'magic'.....what is it supposed to do?

TheCraicDealer · 30/03/2015 10:11

You can probably blame Pinterest or Buzzfeed, I've only ever seen it mentioned on one or other. If it were that amazing I don't think it would be that hard to find in the UK. If she has dry patches maybe she could try something like this mask from Nuxe. According to reviews although it's marketed as a mask, the skin soaks up loads of it and barely any excess is left. Next on my 'to-try' list.

It actually is pretty good for dry skin, I've used it myself. And does not clog up the pores as it's all natural ingredients. It is however ridiculously overpriced. I find shea butter is just as effective, if not a lot better, and a lot cheaper.

Fugghetaboutit · 30/03/2015 15:50

I have it and use it before bed as an all over and skin feels lovely in the morning. There's nothing special in it, royal jelly type stuff. Doesn't smell of anything which is good.
Good if you have sensitive skin.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 30/03/2015 15:59

Looks lovely actually. All natural, got to be good. Might invest for my pregnancy bump.

I first heard of this when Juliette Lewis was raving about it years ago. I was always tempted and then I saw the price and decided not to buy.
