Is there an effective way of clearing redness/fading scars on face?

I'm 22 and had mild acne as a teenager, which was treated with products on prescription from the dermatologist. I just get a few spots here and there now. However I have scars from the acne which makes my skin tone look very uneven, hence wearing foundation every day, and because I've always wore foundation every day, the sun doesn't get to my face and is very pasty compared to say, my neck. So my face is basically white and red/pink Blush.
I would love to fade the redness and be able to wear a lighter coverage foundation, or even just a tinted BB cream or something!
I've tried Clinique Anti-Redness (or blemish) Solutions, but unless I have to keep buying more packs, it didn't seem to work at all.
Any recommendations?

Hi there. I have been using Skinceuticals redness neutralizer as I have very fair skin prone to redness (and a few broken capilliaries). I have to say the redness on my face has reduced - I am on my 3rd week of using it. However its not cheap if you buy from a salon/premium shop (but I know noticed you can get it from Amazon a lot cheaper). In terms of improving the tone of your skin perhaps an acid toner could help. If it is getting you down perhaps its time to go back to the dermatologist. Good luck.

Hi rosiepinkcheeks. Thank you I will look into that and see if I can find it in Amazon!
It doesn't seem to get me down day to say until I take my make-up off and then it hits me all over again. I suppose I've got into a routine of putting the foundation on every day, but it's costing so much money! I know some ladies trick themselves unknowingly into thinking that they had uneven skin tone or redness etc when in fact they only have a little bit. Mine really is a lot, and with a baby on the way I don't want to feel like I have to put a full face of make-up on every day - I probably won't have the time!

Have you tried Bio oil for your scars? Worked wonders for my sis and I for acne scars and just generally gives your skin an even complexion

My skin scars really easily so any spot tends to leave a mark. I use Mario Badescu glycolic acid toner - I can only use it a couple of times a week but if you had tougher skin you could prob use every day. It really makes a big difference after a couple of uses. I then use rosehip oil as my skin is dry & I think it helps as well.
