Facial Red Vein removal - what to expect

I have had some red veins on my face (around my nose and also running down the crease of mouth) which I have decided I want to get rid of. I have requested a call back from a local salon that does laser removal. Their website says that it can take several treatments to get rid of them.

I was just wondering if anyone has had this done and how many treatments it took. I'm hoping that it could be done in one treatment but I guess I'll have to wait until my consultation. Anyone have any experience of red vein removal?

I've had lasers, twice and had to abandon the treatment mid way through, as I found it just too painful.

I had laser treatment with a dermatologist and the bruising lasted almost 3 weeks. It was purple and black. It was bad a work as I had sudocrem on to sooth it. It worked beautifully after one treatment though. I seem to remember it cost 3 hundred pounds. But I hear that the skin clinics are cheaper.

I had lasering on some red thread veins round my nose. Can't say I had any reaction at all to it, and the veins have gone. Stings for a second when they fire the laser and puff the cold air, but that was the worst of it. I have pale, freckly skin, if that is of any relevance... Mine cost about £50.

I am booked in for my first full laser treatment in 2 weeks for broken veins on my nose (which I am utterly sick of covering up with concealor) . I had a test patch done 2 weeks ago and it just stinged a little for about 30 minutes after the treatment. I had a small amount of bruising which appeared very quickly (within an hour of the treatment) but had faded in 2-3 days.
