Starting your wardrobe from scratch. Have you regretted throwing out loads of clothes?

I need a style overhaul. I'm getting a "re-looking" done this weekend (my colours, styles that suit my body shape etc.) and in preparation I was asked to send a list of all my clothes that I have (i.e. how many t-shirts, work trousers, jeans, dresses, smart tops, jackets, etc.).

I was Shock and Blush at how many clothes I have that I just don't wear. In my defense I have 2 young DC so I was kind of keeping them just in case I fit into them again/I suddenly need lots of clothes because of baby sick etc.

I've already gotten rid of all my old/tatty clothes. But I'm still hanging on to quite a lot of stuff which is perfectly wearable but I don't really like it/doesn't quite fit.

So, have you ever bitten the bullet and thrown out lots of wearable clothes that you don't wear very much? Did you ever regret it?

looki it is really easy - there is an ebay topic on MN for more specific info.

I too wear almost everything in my wardrobe now and find getting dressed is a piece of cake when everything fits. It is a constant process though - every season I have a sort through and get rid of more stuff.

Have you seen Project 333? theproject333.com/about/

I have just cleared out about 5 binbags of clothes. I'm hoping I won't regret it!! My resolution is to buy fewer clothes but buy quality items, although I'm not buying anything until I have lost a stone that I put on when I'll with vertigo.

If the stuff is cheap or worn out it's easier to give it to charity, but I can't bear to give away more expensive stuff.
I've tried selling things on eBay but it hardly seems worth the trouble when I just get a few quid for things.
How do people make eBay work for them?

Well my restyling session was very interesting. Turns out Im a summer colouring.

So in fact most of my wardrobe is the right colours except the many pieces which are black...
