Vit e hot cloth cleansing

After reading so much about it on here I ditched my usual avene (I have very sensitive prone to rosacea skin) cleanser to try the superdrug vit e cleanser. My skin is really dry usually and the cleanser felt lovely on it. But.... 5 days in and I've got some spots on one cheek- I'm wondering if I should persevere or just return to my boring avene which does work to calm my skin even if it doesn't feel like it adds enough moisture or cleanses as well. Any thoughts?

Could the spots be due to anything else, like hormones or diet? Have you made any other skincare changes?

About a 2 months ago I started using a serum (avene- and so gentle it's tantamount to useless on me) which I have used daily and a primer (boots) which I have used a handful of times.

The spots are unlikely to be hormones (although am having problems with my periods etc but my hormone spots tend to be round chin and mouth).

Primers sometimes break me out (the Boots No. 7 one did, come to think of it). I always think breakouts are unlikely to be a cleanser, because you wash it off. If you don't think it's for any other reason, and you're definitely washing it off really thoroughly, no residue, then might be worth switching. I've not tried the Vit E one, but I like the Natural Radiance one. Could be worth a try?
