Has anyone shopped with Kettlewell?

I've never ordered with Kettlewell before. I love the idea of shopping by colours that I like but their stuff seems expensive - is it worth it? Whats the quality like? Is it a bit fuddy duddy? Is there any other shops that offer a similar service?

I have bought a sleeveless top and a three quarter length sleeve top from there and they are both lovely quality and have washed and lasted well. I think for basics for your top half they are good, find their bottoms a bit frumpy tbh.

If you are after specific colours to suit your "season" then it does make life easy. I wanted a white sleeveless top and couldn't find one in the shops that wasn't too white, iyswim. Their one suited me as a "summer" as it is soft white so was worth the money.

yes I'm looking to fill a few gaps in my wardrobe with key pieces

Sorry to hijack, but what is the sizing like please?

I have their jersey roll top trousers. Their bumf says they can be dressed up or down etc but to me they are just yoga type trousers. However, they are the most comfortable, flattering, beautiful quality trousers I own. the fabric is a lovely weight, which doesn't crease or go baggy at the knees or bum and no bobbling in 3 years.

I think for basics they're great, head to toe Kettlewell would be too frumpy, even for me Grin

Have bought quite a few of the camisoles and 'twist' style tops in my Spring colours and have been really pleased with them. I did get them in the sale though - they have things reduced fairly regularly so it's ideal for snapping up a few basics in the right colours. I'm hopeless at 'seeing' my colours in the shops so I've found Kettlewell very useful (and they always have free delivery which is a plus).

Agree with ILike that some of their bottoms might be a bit frumpy...

As for sizing, I am an 8/10 and find their small fits perfectly.

I love Kettlewell but was very disappointed when they changed their maxi skirts. It's great for basics as I love my autumn colours.

I just checked the website and it looks a bit middle aged for me.

RaisingSteam · 14/03/2015 00:02

The styling of the catalogue is quite middle aged but there's a big range of individual items so there's probably a few things for everyone. It gives you a big choice of colours not just what's in fashion. I'm wearing a boat neck top at the moment. It's good quality. In fact I had a cotton/lycra top in what I now think isn't a good colour or shape for me but will the damn thing wear out? Nope.

The syling of the catalalogue has improved this season imo but even at the age of 52 I think it's styled quite old. Doesn't put me off though. I have some beautiful basics from them over the years which wash really well and fit in well with the rest of my warderobe.

redredread · 15/03/2015 19:11

The tops are great quality, though it's worth trying different sizes and styles. I like their long camisoles, and their square neck tops. The colours are great and they wash really well at 30.

WeeMadArthur · 15/03/2015 19:16

They are expensive and I have put on weight I think a tad on the small side, I bought an infinity scarf for about £20 from them and then got much nicer ones from Primark for £3!

I had a couple of the twist tops, they were nice & good quality but I found them too short in the body. I think if they made their tops a couple of inches longer I'd buy them again.
