Bra!! I want a soft and light "no bra"

That it really, where can I get a light bra from? My boobs aren't big but they're fairly firm, 36b, I like the light silky bras but I can't seem to find any in (M&S) that aren't underwired - the wire sometimes digs in.

Does anyone knows where I can get a light non wired bra in a silky material from

There are a few out there but first of all, have you been properly fitted recently?

are you sure of your size? If the wires dig in you nay be in the wrong size. Measure according to this guide to see if you need to change the sizes you are trying

You do sound like you need a Bra intervention. I used to be a "36DD". rarely found a bra that was comfortable or flattering and I hated underwires. Turns out I'm 32G!

ZoomZoomToTheMoon · 10/03/2015 14:35

I'm the same size as you and I wear these bravado seamless (in size medium)

They are nursing bras, but they come with a conversion kit to make them non-nursing (takes 30 secs). I discovered them when I was pregnant and couldn't ever go back to wired bras afterwards, they just feel too uncomfortable now. The bravado bras just don't feel like you have a bra on, but they're still quite supportive.

I have small firm breasts and have been bra intervened, COS and Mimi Holliday do fantastic pretty triangle bras, wearing one right now.

The bra fitting rules are geared toward women who need support. I can easily go braless (used to be A/B cup, now D/DD), if that is your case, try triangle bras. If not, follow the bra intervention ladies' measurement instructions!

This is my 'no bra' bra. Used to hate being flat-chested but these days there are delicious options out there!

Thanks some good ideas here. Re bra size - well, I've just measured myself and I'm not the woman I thought I was!! I'm 34c according to the guide in the link. - i did it under my jumper so it might not be accurate and I'll measure when I'm undressed and see what it it then

it is still the same cup volume as a 36B but you will get more support from the smaller back band (34C is a sister size of 36B)

Bluejumperandbluejeans · 10/03/2015 17:40

Oh right, Demented thanks :)

C cup is a great mental boost, isn't it? My breasts haven't changed much (found an ancient bra when I was doing a clearout), the sizing system has!

Fcukfifa · 10/03/2015 18:46

I was looking at a couple of the soft lacy triangle bras in h&m today, they we're lovely and about £13

ChrissieLatham · 11/03/2015 22:44

Freya Deco are really uplifting, comfortable and wire free!

ZaraW · 12/03/2015 09:02

I have a couple of Calvin Klein "bralettes" they are extremely comfortable.

Missymum6 · 12/03/2015 09:14

M and a do a range called body, you can get non wired and they got nicely. Debenhams also are good non wired bras, still pretty and still keep your shape x

Missymum6 · 12/03/2015 09:15

Sorry i meant m and s and that they fit nicely lol

specialsubject · 12/03/2015 10:45

there is actually very little choice if you don't like itchy lace, stupid bright colours that will be obvious through anything other than a suit of armour or sweaty padding. Also most straps are way too narrow.

Berlei do a 'Barely There' bra with wider straps, properly covered wires and no stupid frills. But I'm not in Australia now and haven't seen it anywhere else.

fortunately at 38B I don't need to bother, certainly not in winter.

I hate wearing bras too.
Luva Huva make the most beautiful soft bras on organic cotton or bamboo.
They will make them to measure. Give all your measurements including distance between breasts etc. They cost between £ 30 and £60. Mine is so comfortable.
