What hair product do I need?

I've had my hair cut into a shortish (about 2inches below ears) slightly graduated Bob. I'd like to be able to make the ends look a bit choppy/tousled/beachy as an alternative to the Anna Wintour-esque smooth blow dry (which I also like). What product would ache ive this? I imagine it would be something to rub in after drying? I've got coloured quite thick hair if that makes a difference

I think a hair wax would probably work. I got a Bumble & Bumble one in Boots that is very good.

If you have thickish hair I would go for something with "paste" in the name, as I found that waxes tended to die a death on my hair after an hour or so. Anything like this tends to work best on hair that's not freshly cleaned (and/or floppy) too. Alternatively, you can buy those beach sprays that will give you texture via some sort of salt compound. Be aware that both these products tend to have a very mattifying effect on the hair, though, whereas wax gives more shine.

Boots have all these types of products so have a look at the reviews. My hair is very long now, so I no longer use them, but I do recall Bumble and Bumble products being good, if a little overpriced.

Looks like bumble gets the vote- thanks ladies!
