What are your DCS wearing to keep warm this spring?

Mine have big very warm jackets and baby in a snowsuit that are going to be too hot any minute. Eldest is old enough a jacket might last two years so don't mind spending a little bit.

Anyone seen any brilliant light ish (but not too light, this is still England after all) coats and jackets for babies and children?

Hatley raincoats

Halogenaque · 07/03/2015 18:00

Oh I love hatley raincoats, used to have a gorgeous one but think too expensive for the baby will have a look. Thanks

Have a google, they are usually cheaper on Amazon.

Stillwishihadabs · 07/03/2015 18:29

Boden shaggy lined hoodies.

Artandco · 07/03/2015 18:32

Just cardigans and add blanket for baby. They will be in sling or pram after all most of the time. Add hat as needed

Still freezing in Scotland
Long padded Barbour coat

Iggly · 07/03/2015 18:44

Layers! So for mine (5&3) they have hoodies from h&m plus lined raincoats (decent waterproof ones e.g. from muddy puddles).

As babies - I used a sling or when in the pushchair, a fleece lined raincoat, jumper plus a decent footmuff and a blanket for when it was really cold (e.g. first thing in the morning)

Iggly · 07/03/2015 18:47

something like this which is on sale!

HandMini · 07/03/2015 18:49

Same as Iggly - I do layers. Light but warm fleeces (we got some great quality ones for about £5 in the Mountain Warehouse sale) and then a v lightly padded raincoat. I got the raincoats from M&S this year because I had a voucher. Hang on...I'll find a link.

My dd has her boden lined hoodie on today( shaggy style) is beautiful and thick, perfect for this weather with a hat and wellies still though! We have their wooly gillets too, they are worn most days in summer.

hiccupgirl · 07/03/2015 18:52

Same as Iggly too.

DS had a vest, long sleeved warm top and then his shaggy lined waterproof coat from Trespass on today. I got it from an outlet in October and he has worn it loads over the winter though usually with a jumper under too. Layers are def the way to go.

Halogenaque · 07/03/2015 19:02

Thanks everyone. DSL had a shaggy lined hoodie last year from gap maybe I'll go for that again and get a boden one off ebay.

Anyone seen nice thick cardis for baby girls? I usually do bundling up in buggy but find it so annoying feeling like I can't take her out for long.
