GHD air hairdryer, Parlux or cheaper dryer?

I would like to get a new hairdryer. My hair is fine, but there is lots of it, and it takes quite a while to dry. It is also inclined to go a bit fuzzy.

There is £20 off a GHD dryer, which ends today, and the Parlux is much the same price. I don't know whether to go for one of these, or a much cheaper bog standard dryer.

The amazon reviews on the GHD and Parlux and generally good, with a few exceptions, so I'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks.

Has anyone bought these?

I'm currently using the diva pro veloce 3800 and am very pleased with it. My SIL is a hairdresser and recommended the 3600 (I think) but I got the 3800 in the Christmas sales which cost me less than she could get with her discount.

I'm mixed race and have wavy to curly hair that's fine and frizz prone. This is my hair this afternoon, it took 5-10 min with a barrel brush.

I have fine hair, lots of it, with a tendency to go frizzy especially if left to dry by itself. I have a ghd air. I like it. Its a lot of money but definetly better than a bog standard one. It does smooth the cuticle, especially the cool shot. I dont regret buying it. Not sure any hairdryer is worth that money though.

I've got one. I have long thick hair. It dries it quick and my hair doesn't go frizzy in damp weather.
I love mine.

Doctorboo, thanks, I'll have a look at that one.

Greengardenpixie, sounds good, I will probably go for that one!

Amazegumball, do you have the GHD air or Parlux? It's interesting that it stops your hair going frizzy in damp weather, because my hair is awful for that. My fringe goes funny and sticks up at the sides! It would be great if the hairdryer could stop that!
