Hi ladies

I wondered if anyone else had had these and what you did about them? I've got what are like white heads on my cheek bones but not ones you can pop I can't remember what the right name for them was but I know my mum has them too. They are rather unsightly but I have kind of learned to live with them. The only thing is every so often they one or two seem to flare up and get very red and sore so quite uncomfortable also I'm getting married next year and Id like rid of them before then. I know you can get treatment but it's very expensive so I'm kind of at a loss what to do. Any help appreciated Flowers

I'm no expert but I found this helpful.

Hot cloth cleansing and the use of a chemical exfoliant.

I used to hot cloth cleanse either with Liz Earle, or a cheaper version from Superdrug, once or twice a day. Then I would use Alpha H Liquid Gold twice weekly at night time (you can get this from Amazon). It took a few weeks to really make a difference and to clear the white heads but it worked. I also moisturised regularly too. HTH

I think they are called millia. I might not be spelling it correctly.

Thanks for the replies yeah I remembered it was called milia after I posted it, they are in clusters and I've had them since I was a teen and they haven't shifted at all. I didn't know if I went to my gp about them getting sore and inflamed that they would do anything

I only get a few but remove them with a pin

Lonelynessie · 27/02/2015 12:42

I've had a few when I was using face primer that has silicone in it. I used a sterile needle/pin to remove them. You can get them removed at beauty salons too. Since I removed mine they haven't come back and I now avoid using any primer on my face at all.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 27/02/2015 13:58

I think if you remove them with a pin, it's best to remove them by inserting the pin sideways, rather than through the middle, as you might with a spot (TMI). you should be able to lift them out that way.

My friend gets them removed in a salon where they use a sterile needle
