Need a fab (easy to pack) christmas outfit

Off to Italy for Christmas, staying in a fab hotel. It will be very cold, though hopefully the hotel will be warm! I'd like a comfortable but stylish outfit for christmas day that's easy to pack and not too expensive.

I'm 5'7 and size 18 with dark hair.

Any ideas?

Wrap dress? Any particular colours you'd like/dislike? And definitely take a big wrap with you, just in case it isn't warm in the hotel()

well I have seen a couple I like but I have a tum, maybe I should try them on. Not usually one for dresses but it would be nice. What about shoes though/tights? bleurgh

You could wear boots with it. Or maybe some gorgeous flowy trousers and a spectacular cardigan (I know those 2 words don't necessarily go together).

I suit red I think and I do like the turquoise colours though not tried any on so don't know if it'll suit.

Yeah that;s kind of thing I think. I'm more of a trousers person. Have dd 18 mths so it needs to be sort of practical. Don't want to spend time adjusting my underwear iykwim

Saw this cardigan on the Laura Ashley site the other day, and thought it looked gorgeous - very soft, too. Scroll down and they suggest a skirt or trousers to go with it?

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 25/10/2006 10:39

And if you're still bf, you need 2 pieces, so something like that laura ashley one with a camisole underneath?

DelGhoul · 25/10/2006 10:39

that's lovely, what about underneath?

They've also got some camisoles here - you could go for the darker forest, or the light blue (difficult to tell exactly which would go without seeing them in rl) or cop out and go for cream or white, or light grey, if you've got black/grey trousers/skirt. Would maybe avoid black, as probably too dark.

I have some wide leg black trousers which are soft flowy material. Need to get to the shops.

Any more ideas?

Hope you find something you love. And do try some wrap dresses on - they can look lovely.

DelGhoul · 25/10/2006 10:54

I will thanks. May try and see what Wallis have to offer or Monsoon as they close by and Laura Ashley isn't but will def keep that in mind as I like duck egg blue. Thanks

DelGhoul · 26/10/2006 20:45
