If so is there a colour that works on most white skin types?

I hated it. Found the consistency extremely gloopy and sticky. Difficult to blend & settled in my pores. I'm surprised at its popularity. I use the topshop cream blush which I love.

It's quite nice but doesn't last long on the skin, IMO.
Pale Pink might suit you, or Rose but you really need to try them out.

interesting views thanks. Well, it supposed to last ages and for the price you would hope so, but of it doesn't then I shan't buy into it.
I just liked the idea of a barely there blush.
I shall look into the top shop cream blush, thanksSmile

I bought about 5 different Pot Rouges when they first came out and didn't really get on with them...until I discovered how to apply it properly. I was rubbing it in too much when I should have been patting the colour in. Sali Hughes advises on using your middle finger to apply three dots on the fat part of your cheek and then patting in. You then 'clean up' the edges by using a different finger to blend it in. I've re-discovered my Calypso Coral shade now that I know what I'm doing and it lasts all day. I haven't yet found another cream blush that lasts as well and have wasted money on Bourjois, Max Factor and even Laura Mercier. For me, Pot Rouge has a good pigment and a lovely sheen and I'm so pleased I've given them a second chance.

I think they're a bit 90's. There are far nicer cream blushes out now

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 22/02/2015 22:41

They're nice and give a very subtle healthy glow,if applied correctly otherwise you can look a bit gloopy!

I didn't use mine for long though as went back to copper hair (that looks more red in dull light) and the rosey colour looked a little odd with it

The Maybeliene ones are meant to be very good. Can't remember what they're called, but they come in a white tube.

Eliza22 · 23/02/2015 08:22

I found these streaky to blend. And rather sticky. If I needed to touch up, in the afternoon (they don't last all day) then it would blotch and streak. I had one, nearly finished it and then binned. Would not repurchase.

pinkfrocks · 23/02/2015 08:29

I don't find application tricky - you need to apply a small amount then blend and add more if you want more colour.
The biggest issue for me was / is staying power. I don't think they are very pigmented, especially the paler shades, so they need re-applying. I bought them mainly because they are portable and if I'm out all day then I didn't want to carry powder blusher and my big blusher brush.

If you have the right shade of lippie that might work on cheeks you can get the same effect with that !

Eliza22 · 23/02/2015 09:18

Funny you should say that Pinfrocks. I've started using my No7 lippy in a pink/peach shade (Waterlilly) on my cheeks. With a light powder on top, it's perfect!

SavoyCabbage · 23/02/2015 09:20

I use the L'oriel one in the little white tube with a purple lid.

thank you everyone!

If it's any help,I had a Teeez Cosmetics (very popular in parts of Europe, apparently) cream blush delivered today. It's quite like Pot Rouge but not as gloopy/sticky and has a velvety vinish (but doesn't look flat) on the cheeks. It's easy to apply, has good colour for a more natural glow, easy to build up and doesn't end up shiny or disappearing so quickly.

Has a nice post too
