Talk to me about natural chemical free make up

I'm wanting to switch as things run out to natural chemical free products. Has anyone tried a few brands and discovered some favourites they can recommend?

I know lots of good websites that sell the different brands, but are there any physical stores that sell the products as finding a foundation and powder that match and cover well I fear could get expensive by trial and error. Some have samples but they never seem to be the brands I want to try.

I'm going to avoid loose mineral powders as I've read they're not great for breathing in, so looking for a pressed, liquid or a stick foundation. Need one that isn't too sheer and that I can build up a bit as I have some pigmentation to cover. Price not too much of an issue I suppose, I'm currently using mostly Bobbi Brown stuff.

Mascara, black eye pencil, blush like a Nars Orgasm, bronzer like a Benefit Hoola, good eyeshadows and lip gloss/stain recommendations also very welcome if anyone has any!

Op what is the issue with lungs and loose powder minerals? I've wondered for a while if it is a bad thing to be breathing in a load of titanium dioxide etc, but not seen anything about it.

You should get some natural Kahj/kohl pencil. You can get them from indian shops and the like. They're totally natural.
Holland and Barrett sell more natural make up, i haven't seen it in store but they have it online.
Also are you including nail varnish in this? Butter London make nail varnish without the three common chemicals in them.

SirVix yes I think it's the titanium dioxide when it's in powdered form and that with loose powder you can't help but breathe a little in. If you google mineral make up and lungs you'll get some articles: --toxicbeautyblog.com/safe-makeup/mineral-makeup-do-not-inhale/--

Makes me wonder about dry hair shampoo which since my dc I use an awful lot and can't help but inhale...Hmm

Thanks for all the tips everyone. I had a look at my local John Lewis, no 'natural' make up, just face/toiletries options. Holland and Barrett good idea, I'll have a look next time I'm passing. Anyway, I went a bit mad on the Lily Lolo site lured by their sample system that seemed easy for foundation matching. I was a bit disappointed to start and thought it was too sheer and covered nothing, but then realised I wasn't using enough (as I kept reading you only need a tiny bit etc).

Well I love it! It looks great now I have worked out the right shade and the peepo corrector for pigmentation really dulls it down. The matte finishing powder is quite amazing too, it is really like soft focus! Got a blush too but it's quite strong, so first time I looked like a clown, only need a tiny bit, it'll last years! Smile I also got the black eyeliner pencil which is lovely, very soft, creamy and stays put.
