Reasonably priced shampoo/conditioner

I am having a mare with my static hair at the moment. It is fine and shoulder length and I tend not to put any styling products in as it weighs it down and can get greasy. It is mainly natural colour with dip dye blonde on the bottom half. It gets blow dried and then a quick going over with the GHDs most days to sort out the kinks as it is fundamentally straight. I hate having to wash it every day but if I don't I have a nasty greasy fringe on day 2. I use Pantene (I know I know...) and I really shouldn't. What other reasonably priced alternatives are there out there in the supermarket/Boots etc? I have tried Aussie: hair doesn't like it. Ditto for Herbal Essences. I have used Naked before when I had scalp psoriasis but the conditioner never felt quite right. Something I can get in Boots/Asda/Sainsburys is preferable.

Any advice or recommendations please?

Body shop do hair butters in small pots(to try first) for £3 that are for coloured hair. If you are on 02 then there's a voucher on the priority app for 20pounds worth of stuff for ten pounds At TBS

Oh they do a shampoo too I think for coloured hair

Oh, I hadn't thought of the Body Shop. Not sure if there is one near where we are moving to this weekend (pretty rural) but assume you can order online. I was thinking about trying Lush because their Dream Cream has revolutionised DS2's eczema ridden skin but some of their shampoo seems expensive.

Yes they are online too.

I'm doing well with the L'Oreal Ever Riche shampoo and conditioner - no static/flyaways since I started using it. Hope that doesn't tempt fate. Just past shoulder length, wavy, prone to frizz fine hair but lots of it. I wash every 3 days usually but don't have greasy hair issues.

I have the same type of hair and have just started using loreal elvive fibrology shampoo and conditioner and it's fab! Makes my hair thick and swishy!

rockybalboa · 20/02/2015 23:53

Oooh, I think DH has that Fibrology stuff (he buys anything in a desperate attempt to combat baldness). I shall test it out...

My hairs longer than yours but similar problem with static. I use Johnsons baby shampoo, the lavender one.

I'd never have thought to try it but my sister left a bottle in the bathroom after she stayed and I thought "Eh what's the harm in trying?" I love it. Works wonders for me.

Boots botanics ones are nice. I also like the organix range, maybe a bit pricey but you can get 3 for 2s.
