put it in french plaits overnight then run a bit of conditioner or mousse through it. I love that look on little girls, but don't often have time to do the plaits.

MamaGhoul · 23/10/2006 14:38

oh yes it all comes flooding back to me now re rags

I knew what they were, just couldn't remember the name (honest )

Would you put rags in damp hair and leave overnight? A lot of hair per section? I did it for her once and she had v scary frizzy hair!

Kelly - french plait? hahahahahahahahaha I can only just do a normal plait!!

I use a set of flexi-rollers. You heat them up in the container then roll them in the hair. The tighter you roll them the smaller the curls.

This link shows the same curlers are I use on my DD click here

Tongs are good for a "tousled" look.. nut to be honest this girl probably sat in a stylists chair for an hour... and unless your dd has naturally wavy hair then the curls will probably drop out in an hour!!!

I think people spend more time, money and effort trying to achieve the "ive just got out of bed look" look than any other!!!

MrsBadger · 23/10/2006 14:45

those spongey curlers with a hole at one end (like these ) work in the same way as rags but are easier to use - also no heat so less damaging to hair.

MamaGhoul · 23/10/2006 14:47

oh bugger it I think she'll be straight-haired as usual. She's beautiful however she has her hair

Its all making my poor head hurt - my styling expertise is usually brushed/unbrushed.

That was my extent too until my DD's came home saying I had to put their hair in a bun, then a heidi (plaits over the head)
