Bra advice-this might be a challenge

I'm trying to find a bra for a disabled adult in my care. She is extremely kyphotic (curves so that chin is low on chest). Her breasts are completely different sizes - not just a couple of cup sizes. We've been using sports vest but the larger breast isn't contained and neither is supported.

Money is no object (well it is, but I recognise this is going to be expensive)

I need a bra that fits two very different breasts. I've considered bras for post cancer surgery. She isn't able to cooperate with fittings which adds to the challenge. PLEASE give me some ideas because I'm stumped

Any idea on what kind of size she might be?

The Royce Jasmine looks like it would be comfortable with a kyphosis, and the seam would be easy to take in on the smaller side

Thank you. No not really but a guess is 34 H one side and due to poor support over the years not a good shape and then probably 34D. It's the change in shape that is causing the most difficulty

Fit the larger breast, get someone to take a needle and thread to the other cup.

Speak to breast care nurses at local hospital to find out what suppliers they recommend post mastectomy. I know amplebosoms.com is one. They'll be used to sorting the lopsided issue sensitively.

Thank you so much both of you - I'll look into those ideas

The Royce unwired comes in a 34H, and the soft cup/ no underwire should be easy to adapt.

Well amplebosoms.com takes me to a porn site Confused

I've gone in via .co.uk instead and got there and it's displaying as .com...but typing that .com gives porn???

Sorry. Blush co.UK, of course!

KeelingToRight · 15/02/2015 18:34

Well it displays .com when you get into the site. Grin

Avoid underwires... They're rather unforgiving to breast tissue if the size isn't accurate. Ample bosom is fab, second the recommendation.

This is going to sound crazy......
What about two bras in the relevant sizes. Have a dressmaker use a half from each and stitch together at the front to make the appropriate cups into one bra. Expensive but... could it work ?
