my few white hairs didn't bother me that much - until I noticed that among my friends, colleagues and female peers that No one, no one at All has grey hairs. I think I am the only one who doesn't dye it. Am I aging myself? I'm 36. should I dye it?

Hmm. I'm not sure.

I love silver/grey hair and am 34 with about 75% silver myself.....but...

I think it only looks really striking when it's either mostly silver or with a mallen streak. I think the light smattering of grey especially on dark hair doesn't look as good.

That said, do whatever you feel like doing.

Nooo, it looks ace!
I've coloured mine for about 15 years. It's been bleached, pink, black, all sorts.
At the grand old age of 27 I've just noticed my first greys, and now I've decided it's time to give up the dye and see what my natural hair is all about.
I plan to grow my hair, get regular trims, and eventually cut all the processed colour out. I want really healthy hair, and I'm very jealous of yours. It looks amazing.

I don't now, though I have in the past. And actually, my hair is so short that it really would be a lot of faff and bother. I've now got a lot of grey. My two same age female colleagues don't either.

I honestly don't think there is any kind of rule, so you aren't breaking any workplace conventions. It is just that women showing any sign of ageing or even maturity is generally stigmatised, so most women do dye.

I think do as you please, bearing in mind it is a treadmill of maintenance you get on if you colour your hair, and your hair will no longer match your eyebrows.

Your hair looks lovely! Don't dye it unless you really want to.

Don't dye it. You'll be chasing your tail with root touch ups. Re growth is far more ageing than naturally grey hair. So many woman & men have unflattering hair dye jobs. ( have you seen Jonathan Ross recently?!)
But they're tied into them and can't see objectively that the dye is more ageing.
As we age our hair fades to match what's happening with our skin.
It's such a knee jerk reaction to see grey and react. But don't. Sit with it. Look around you and start noticing all the awful unnatural dye jobs

It looks great in my opinion, and no, there is no unspoken rule about dyeing greys. You probably think about it far more than anyone else does and it doesn't sound like you think about it that much anyway.

Honestly, when I notice a woman with any grey showing and pause to think about it (very occasionally, in meetings when bored etc) the only things I think are how well-adjusted and self-assured they must be to just not care. Personally, I wish I had never got on the treadmill but we are where we are. I really wouldn't bother if I were you.
