Can one here with ridiculously sensitive eyes recommend a mascara?

Can't even try waterproof but 99.9% off stuff bothers me (ocular rosacea and while no allergies the derm said I am hypersensitive) and my current one has been dc'd (thankfully, I have a few to keep me going for now). If I leave mascara off I get other allergic type symptoms and my eyes feel sore and itchy (even antihistamines don't help)...so it's a matter of finding 'The One'!
I don't really care about the price at this stage...just finding something (especially as I have invisible lashes!) I can't tolerate dyeing either (just in case anyone suggests that option).

Thanks ladies :)

Have you tried Dr Hauschka?

Cuppatea14 · 15/02/2015 11:52

Try trish Mcevoy maybe. It's a tubing mascara, which means it washes off in little 'tubes' of mascara rather than smushing off and getting in your eyes. Also means it stays put during the day. It's very pricey but brilliant.

midnightmoomoo · 15/02/2015 11:59

Try Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara, it's not waterproof but it stays put all day and doesn't irritate.

Kundry · 15/02/2015 12:01

Have you tried tubing mascara? Lots of price points, is effectively waterproof. Boots No7 is nice.

Gunpowder · 15/02/2015 12:11

Lancôme Hypnose is ok for me, but not the waterproof or the 'Doll Eyes' version.

Have tried and can't wear: Chanel, maybelline, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Estée Lauder, YSL, Benefit, collection 2000.

Hope you find one that's ok!

Gunpowder · 15/02/2015 12:12

I've never been able to wear tubing mascara, but maybe just weird!

QueenJulian · 15/02/2015 15:50

I'd second the Boots No 7 tubing one in the gold case. I can't wear 'normal' mascaras anymore but this one is fine (and better than blinc which flakes on me).

I am like this and for years used Almay which I had to get my sister to send from the US or found it on Amazon. It's very hard to get hold of in the uk. Then a few years ago we went on a cruise and I had forgotten my mascara! I went to the (very upmarket) ships shopping deck and the girl on the Estée Lauder counter said I should try the Double Wear mascara, and she'd refund me if I reacted. Amazingly it was fine and I now use this with no problem.

MoustacheofRonSwanson · 15/02/2015 16:02

Real Purity Mascara here no chemicals so no reaction and no alcohol so no stinging

Kundry · 15/02/2015 16:18

No chemicals?!? If it had no chemicals it wouldn't exist. It's not even honest about what is in it - 'pure plants extracts' - what plants? why are they in there?

MoustacheofRonSwanson · 15/02/2015 17:02

Kundry you know exactly what I meant so stop being a dick.

Kundry · 15/02/2015 17:31

No, you were being a dick by claiming natural = no chemicals = safe. It means nothing of the sort and clearly you know it.

MoustacheofRonSwanson · 15/02/2015 19:23

Kundry I may have been, in your opinion, incorrect or inaccurate, but I wasn't being a dick i.e. deliberately being arsey and goady.

noddyholder · 15/02/2015 19:24

Remember this is a thread about mascara Wink

Noddy Grin

I use Dior (the one in the fat tube, non waterproof). It's the only one which doesn't make my eyes feel itchy and tired.

I second tubing mascara. I have dry eyes and it's the only thing that I can bear.
