What would you buy? More as a treat item like a watch, jewellery, scarf rather than on wardrobe essentials. I really feel like treating myself so looking for some inspiration.

I think accessories are the right way to go:
Purse
Clutch/evening bag
Sunglasses

tak1ngchances · 13/02/2015 17:13

I would buy something that will hold its value

mowglik · 13/02/2015 17:14

I'd get a piece of jewellery made

aftereight · 13/02/2015 17:15

A Coach handbag, and if I could manage to get it for less than £400 (in a sale), a pair of decent sunglasses with the spare money

LineRunner · 13/02/2015 17:15

Premium bonds.

pinkfrocks · 13/02/2015 17:17

I'd go for jewellery. Anything else will date or wear out.

mrsdimmock · 13/02/2015 17:29

With £400 I would buy either:

  • Diamond studs
  • Gold Bracelet
  • Leather holdall / overnight bag
  • Camel Cashmere coat

£400 won't buy you a watch which will last as much as the above in my opinion...

pinkfrocks · 13/02/2015 17:52

You won't get very big diamonds for £400. My studs are 0.4ct and are now selling in the same shop for around £1K- were £850 a few years back.

I'd go for a lovely silver, chunky bracelet- or white gold- or a pendant, or maybe pearls. Or have something made by a designer.

I MIGHT buy a bag but it would depend- how much you use it, style, whether it would date. I agree I'd go for a Coach one or maybe Michael Kors.

IDismyname · 13/02/2015 17:53

I'd have my teeth whitened Grin

Teeb · 13/02/2015 18:07

I'd thought of diamond studs but it all seems a bit of a minefield, plus I fear my budget may be lacking.

I like the idea of getting something that would be classic though, rather than a fashion statement.

I'd get a chanel purse. Classic and will hold its value.

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 13/02/2015 18:20

If you'd like diamond stud earrings, buy them second hand. They are sooooooo much cheaper. If you're in the south, Brighton has loads of second hand jewellers with masses of choice.

I was treated to a mini facial at Space NK recently and loved all the products used. Unfortunately I can't afford any of them Sad

So, if I had 400 quid, I'd go back in there and buy the lot Grin

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/02/2015 02:41

I was admiring Hermes silk scarves last week, so maybe one of those. They are just under £400.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 14/02/2015 02:57

I'd get a Barbour black, short, A-lined raincoat.

MoustacheofRonSwanson · 14/02/2015 06:53

Chloe Marcie

or a series of at home massages. My lady with give me a 90 minute massage at home for £30, so that's do one a week for 3 months.

MoustacheofRonSwanson · 14/02/2015 07:50

I meant the mini one not blow the budget

Notagainmun · 14/02/2015 08:50

Botox and/or fillers. Whatever an expert thinks I need.
