Is Hydraluron really any good?

So I had some last year and tbh didn't really notice much difference. But my skin seems really dry in this harsh weather ( have dry sensitive skin anyway ) so thought I might give it another go.

But, it is pretty expensive so before I splash out, I was wondering if anyone knew whether it really makes a difference or not..?

I swear by the Decleor oils, neroli works the best for my skin.

Oh, it was just a general comment Squeezy, no apology required! I just see a lot of people writing about it (on different sites, not just MN) and they don't use it as it's meant to be used. I don't think it works for everyone even if it is used correctly, to be honest, just like any other product. I don't bother if I'm not dried up and prune-like dehydrated as it's just a waste of an expensive product.

Should have added another vote for rosehip oil. I try and convert anyone who will listen! Lovely stuff.

How do you use the rose hip oil please? Is it under moisturiser?

Nabootique · 11/02/2015 14:19

I put it under moisturiser during the day because make up goes on better like that, but over moisturiser at night, because the oil can be a bit barrier-ish between moisturiser and skin (bigger molecules or some other science explanation as well, apparently).

Thank you Nabootique (great name) think I will look into getting some

I want to like rosehip oil but I don't like the smell!

I really like it. I have dehydrated skin so it plumps up my skin.

My absolute new favourite is the Indeed Retinol cream. I'm in my 20s so only use it twice a week, but it has left my skin so clear, soft and smooth. It is really glowy and I haven't had to wear foundation since using it.

I've been a bit underwhelmed by Hydraluron. I use it under LRP Toleriane Ultra moisturiser, which I love, and after Effaclar Duo+, which is also great for me.

Another fan of rosehip oil here though! I also LOVE Neal's Yard Rose Facial Oil, which smells delicious.
