Serums - which do you rate?

I've used serums on and off for a few years now but never found one that I partculatly like or seems to have any visible results. Having read Caroline Hirons post yesterday regarding where your money needs to be spent, now that I'm almost mid way through my thirties I think that i probably need to invest more!

Would love to hear what works for you.

Superdrug's Naturally Radiant 2 in 1 Moisturiser and Serum. On my third bottle!

I love YSL Forever.Expensive but worth it and mostly I buy the reduced gift sets after xmas so I have enough for the year.
I had a sample of Kielhs Midnight Revovery Serum that I have been using at night this week and that is great too. Might get that to use at night.

I love Balance Me totally natural and makes my skin look great. I usually break out with serums or mosturises but not with this.

wasabipeanut · 04/02/2015 15:29

I didn't rate the Lauder night repair, Boots P & P or Lancôme Genifique but recently tried the Soap & Glory one and its bloody brilliant. Got my 2nd tube today. In fact Soap & Glory micellar water & moisturisers also have been great.

Clarins Double Serum. Expensive, but it works.

MatildaTheCat · 04/02/2015 16:09

I have a new Clarins double serum. Am dabbing it around my eyes and upper lip then massaging in morning and night. Is that it Confused. Should I then apply my night cream over the top or avoid the serum treated areas?

I'm desperate to improve the fine lines I've developed on my upper lip...is this even the best approach? Please help me! Smile

Ysl forever youth

I've been using Olay Regenerist Night Elixir (which is a serum) for the last couple of months and definitely see a difference in my skin.

By far the cheapest place to buy it seems to be off Amazon.

LollyLondon · 04/02/2015 16:28

Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial - highly recommended.

cardamomginger · 04/02/2015 16:31

SkinCeuticals is a great brand and is the one my dermatologist tells me to use. Which products depends on what you want to achieve and what your skin type is. The main SkinCeuticals website is pretty good at making product recommendations if you know your skin type.

I get mine off Ebay through this seller: luxuryskincare_shop

I buy the 4ml sample bottles - you only need a couple of drops per application, so they last for ages.

I'm not convinced by serums, personally. I've tried Clarins Double Serum and it gave me spots - hardly surprising as its a thick oil. Then I tried Cowshed Anti-Ageing Perfecting Night Serum, which smells fabulous, but did absolutely nothing. And now I'm trying Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase, which has made my skin less dry, but I'm not sure its made it look any plumper or less lined!

Estee Lauder Perfectionist and Olay Regenerist Serum ( white bottle) - both good. Don't know if they make any real changes but they give your skin a lovely silky feel under make up.
