Marionette lines overnight at 31 -what is happening to my face?!

A few weeks ago I woke up and had lines at the side of my mouth that weren't there before. I have quite a pronounced nasal-labial lines that I've had since I was a child -just to do with the positioning of my cheek bones - and so IMO these marionette lines look really noticeable as they're at a different angle to the ones from my nose down. Also one side is also slightly more pronounced than the other.

I've realised from googling these are an early sign of ageing (and that they have their own name!) but most people seem to get them older than early thirties. And the slight asymmetry confuses me. I have PCOS, and some related acne, but other than that am in reasonably good health. Haven't had a pregnancy yet, I'm a size 12 so I don't imagine weight loss would help.

I have no idea what to do to get rid of them or stop them getting worse but would welcome some suggestions. I have some fine lines, but these just make me look angry and grumpy and jowly and were not what I was expecting at this point. Is this particularly young for them to develop or do I just need to accept it? Is there anything non-surgical that can help?

nothing to be done except surgery - like all lines.

wear sunscreen, don't smoke, eat properly. And remember that no-one else will notice. You only look angry if you are.

I have this as well, but worse on one side! I've found sleeping in different positions help, so my face and cheeks don't get so squashed. I've also got one those funny shaped wrinkle pillows, really seems to help.

I eat (reasonably) well, never smoked, wear sunscreen, which is why it is a surprise. I had a number of stomach issues in the last few years which I've heard people say can reflect on your face and there's the PCOS but my mother looked a lot younger than I do at this age so I do wonder what I did wrong. Interesting to hear about the pillow - I was wondering about investing in a silk pillowcase so might as well give it a go now!

I was wondering if supplementing might work - it feels like I must have lost volume to some extent in my cheeks. Could that be a lack of essential oils? Good fats? Would loading up on avocado help, or if I eat too much fat to plump up my cheeks would it have the opposite effect?
