I have a couple of pairs from duo which are very comfy but falling apart and I think the quality is very poor - anywhere else do fat leg boots?

Evans.

I like rocket dog, the low ones

I just came on to post the same thing as my brown Duo biker boots have really bitten the dust now that the zip pull has come off and Duo can't replace it. Cobbler can't replace it either as I asked when the pull came off the other boot...

I've been really disappointed with the quality and longevity of these Duo ones. I have some black smart kitten heels ones from Duo for work which have probably had more wear (although mainly inside I guess) and have lasted much better. I was just perusing the Duo sale and mulling over alternatives. I looked at Evans but I don't have wide feet, just wide calves and I don't want boots that are all baggy round my ankles.

I'm sure my sister has mentioned getting wide calf boots from somewhere that sounded a bit like Victoria's Secret but obviously isn't. I shall text her...

I was going to say Duo - I have three pairs that are at least 7 years old and still going strong!

FrChewieLouie · 30/01/2015 11:56

I have a pair from Marks & Sparks that are lovely and duo-ish and still look new after 2 years.

Ive got some lovely knee high heeled leather boots from Clarks. They measure 19 inches round the top if that helps. Lovely quality & last so well.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 30/01/2015 13:50

I have some fly ones and some dm ones which are great. They both have a bit more elastic in.

Smokeyrobinson · 30/01/2015 18:31

Evans. Mine are 3 years old, very comfy & wearing well.

TOADfan · 30/01/2015 19:19

Simply be are good though I can't even fit into their super extra curvy plus boots. I have extremely fat calves. Need to get them specially made but can't afford it.

Floppityflop · 30/01/2015 19:21

Some Clark's and also Evans.

wildpoppy · 30/01/2015 19:26

when I took my duo ones to cobbler he said they used to be well made but have in recent years been using cheap materials and no longer made to last. He was very disparaging.

Try fuller fillies.

Dunwhingin · 30/01/2015 19:30

Josep Siebel always have a lace up/zip up long style each winter. I've got two pairs and they are fab, my legs are stocky to say the least and these fit brilliantly and can be adjusted as they relax

Redhead11 · 30/01/2015 19:34

Simply Be do 5 calf widths. Either online or look for a store near you. There are 13 in England and 1 in Edinburgh

Ledkr · 30/01/2015 19:39

If u go on the Zalando site there is a filter for wide calves but also each pair gives the calf width so I was able to choose some from the ordinary range that fitted my ample calves!

INeedSomeHelp · 30/01/2015 19:56

I have two pairs from Simply Be and very pleased with both. They have a lot of the same ones as on the pp's link

HoneyBeGood · 30/01/2015 21:26

www.duoboots.com do different calf widths. Russell and Bromley do some lovely ones with leather at the front and stretch fabric at the back too. You could also try a size up to see if that helps. Hope you find the pair you are looking for. From someone with shapely lady legs. Grin
