How to measure for a bra? Fairly urgent

Can anyone remember the website that tells you how to get your proper bra size?
My friend measures 35" and 43". She is currently wearing 38C

I think she must be way off as she has a similar shape to me before I got my bra sorted. (Went from 36DD to 32H thanks to ladies on here Smile)

She is shopping today and I would love to help her out with what size to try before she goes out.

Tia

Band size is the under bust measurement (measured fairly tightly)
Cup size is based on the difference between that and the looser over bust measurement.
In 1in increments, the differences go up in cup sizes thus:
A1
B2
C3
D4
DD5
E6
F7
FF8
G9
GG10
H11
HH12

Try around 34G or 36FF

Hi,

Cani ask or advice too? I telly struggle with bras, always considered myself fairly flat chested and wear a 36b. I've just measured 33 around my ribs and 37 around the fullest part of breast. Where would you put that?

Thank you!

Start by trying 32d, 32dd, 34d and 34c.

StatisticallyChallenged · 29/01/2015 09:13

Oh, take overbust braless and bending over. Not a good look Grin

The website is the better bra campaign btw, has pointers on what to look for

Sooo, I went to m&s today with our christmas vouchers and now have three gorgeous sets, all in a 34D. I tried on a few different sizes and style but my Dh was waiting with dd so I didn't spend too long. I think I may now embark on a lingerie love affair after years of thinking I was flat chested and bulgy of the back!

Thanks all! X

Ah, or thanks statistically! X

You're welcome! Some M&S bras can run snug in the band, so you might find that in other brands like Freya or Curvy Kate you might get on better with the 32DD - just fyi!
