And, if so, what sort of thing?

Yep, new PJ's and a christmas dress. In England I went for the red velvet & red sash look. In Oz, something like this:

Gorgeous Fred Bare dress

I do - in matching outfits as well

Usually a new pair of jeans and a checked shirt from Tesco or somewhere similar (don't push the boat out too much obviously!)

yes always always always! I love getting the twins all dressed up for christmas. It doesn't necessarily mean spending a fortune though.

No to a Christmas outfit. She does tend to get new Pjs though - which she stays in until just before lunch, and gets back into around tea time

I bought dd a dress yesterday which i'm hoping will at least last until her birthday in April, probably longer. The dress I bought last year did get a fair bit of wear with parties etc and it wasn't expensive, but looked lovely.

Not a christmas outfit ... they would be the laughing stock of New Zealand (where everyone spends xmas in shorts and flip flops) but I do buy them something (new shorts and t-shirt for DS and new summer dress for DD) to wear on Christmas day. Or they get sent something from rellies.
This year we have a wedding on the 22nd December so they have something new for that.

There's a really cute tshirt in next for girls with a reindeer on for 2.99, ive got that for dd to wear during the christmassy period.

They get a nice new outfit for christmas, but nothing particularly 'christmas' related (can't stand velvet or tartan!)

Good heavens no. Not do I buy new pjs.

thats what grannies are for isnt it. and my mum LOVES doing things like that.

Its great! saves me the bother and the expense

Aitch
I found the dress at a shop in Pitlochry.

MIL had already given DD1 one - that she found at a shop in Dumfries somewhere - and that one will now fit DD2 perfectly.

So when I found one in DD1's size, I snapped it up.

They'll have velvet sashes to match.

I just ironed the dresses yesterday, cuz I'm going to pose them on the couch for a fotie to use on the Xmas cards to send 'haeme' of the wee Scottish lassies.
