My daughter has two crowns.

The normal one at the back of her head but also one at the front! The swirl at the front was really cute when she was a baby (well it still is cute tbh) but now she's got longer hair I'm sensing the extra crown could be a problem with regards to hair styling in the future, it's not so much of a problem now, but when she's a teen for example and wanting to try out lots of new styles it might be tricky.

As you can see, her fringe goes in different directions due to this!

Does anyone else have experience with this sort of thing?

oooh, I have two crowns but at back of my head! My hairdresser has a cheery mini rant each time i go!

That look fab, maybe grow fringe out so it can be side swept and tucked behind ears?

DS2 has this. He has lots of dark brown hair and looks like a baby David Tennant.

Both my DC have double crowns. DS has curly ish hair so no issue. DD (8) has thick thick hair and it grows in 8 directions . She can't have a fringe and it has to be long enough to put up. The only way to get it tidy ish is to plait it when it's wet - it goes wavy but it's the only way! Two plaits or pigtails work well but a single plait or ponytail won't stay in as there is basically no way to get her hair to all go in one direction .

When she was a toddler we had to tough it out and let the fringe grow down - it had to have the weight as it started so far back. The couple of times she had a 'normal' haircut were a disaster and took ages to sort out. Don't let anyone near her hair who doesn't know what they're doing!

I have a double crown (and so does my DD) and find a side parting helps keep it down if that makes sense.

When my DD was born I thought it was cute that she had two swirls. It took a little while for me to process she has a double crown too.

I do and so do DH and DS. DS' hair is always sticking up.

There's an old wives take that says you'll never go bald if you have two crowns. I doubt it's true but DH's brother, father and uncle are all bald and he isn't.

I'm growing my DD's fringe out, it's more of a problem when they've got a fringe of short hair. Mine does fall properly at the back, hairdressers used to moan at me when I had a bob
