any other cheaper alternatives?

I don't think, I want to go the whole hog and use olive oil or omething
so was thinking of some sort of made product

Coconut oil?

Katbat66 · 21/01/2015 16:24

L'Oreal do a fab one which is usually £7.99 but on offer in Boots at the mo for £5.99. I use it and think it's just as good as the BB one.

The Bodyshop Chamomile cleansing oil is really nice.

grisclair · 21/01/2015 20:45

Not cheap, but still cheaper than the Bobbi Brown one: MAC Cleanse Off Oil. I have tried quite a few cleansing oils but keep coming back to MAC because it takes my make-up off a lot quicker and more thoroughly than anything else. With the Bodyshop one mentioned by Linus sadly my mascara staid firmly in place.

Thanks Linus I've just ordered the camomile cleansing oil, it sounds lovely and good reviews.

I'm a Shu Uemura cleansing oil fan and can't afford it at the moment but my skin loves oils so hoping this might be a good stand-in.

magicpixie · 21/01/2015 22:02

thanks for ideas, I actually ordered the bb one earlier, but I might try one of the others next time

Love the Bobbi Brown one, and find it lasts for months and months, so although initial outlay can be a bit of a hardship it's very good value.

This stuff is cheap and gets make-up off.

magicpixie · 21/01/2015 23:51

Optimist,
How do you actually use it?

Three pumps of the oil into the palm of my hand, rub palms together a little bit to cover both then massage all over my face. (It deals with all my eye makeup and has never stung my eyes.) Soak a face flannel in hot water, wring out and gently pat/wipe over my face. Rinse out flannel, repeat. Skin feels soft and very clean. No panda eyes in the morning for me! I hope you like it as much as I do.

daimbardiva · 22/01/2015 09:47

I've just started using the No 7 one and it's noticeably improved my skin

DHC is a Japanese skincare company and I love their products - extremely good quality and value. Their cleansing oil is superb. On special offer at the moment.

DIY is all well and good - but cleansing oils contain emulsifiers that attach to the water so when you splash off, all the oil and dirt comes too with no need to worry about residue.
