Knee high riding style boots

I am having a bit of a fashion crisis!
I have been wearing mainly ankle boots recently. I wear them mainly with skinny jeans but also with dresses. I have ones with a bit of a heel (the acne pistol boots) but mainly wear a pair of flat ones as I walk so much.

I decided I wanted to get a new pair of boots to give myself a change and decided to get a pair knee high riding style boots. These in fact:

But now I am worried I may be making an expensive mistake. Will they look frumpy and mumsy?

Ooh nice! I don't own any long boots but these look v nice.

(Also, no one will care, but well done on managing to avoid what some non-horsey people do when they buy riding boots and get them in one colour! Lots of these boots are black with tan tops, which is male apparel in riding circles.)

No it doesn't matter but it always catches my eye

I recently bought a similar pair to replace a knee high heeled boot I had and I do feel somewhat frumpy and mumsy in them. And no one has said they like them either. Sad Very comfy though so I keep wearing them Blush oh dear.

I got these a couple Xmases ago and I love them. And people have told me they liked them and I have had envious glances in the street.

But I think it is important that you love them.

Well, in case anyone is interested, my boots arrived and they are too tall and wide for my fairly petite frame and legs, so they will be going straight back.

I was going to say that they are a bit welly-shaped, but you've realised that anyway Grin
