Thinking of ordering my clothes from catalogues from now on. I've hardly any clothes as i can only afford and get to the supermarket, but the quality is so poor they end up in the bin after a few months, and i also cannot try things on with dc in tow. 1 has sn.Catalogues do free delivery and returns from the comfort of my home, and i will be able to try things on. Just wondering about the quality really as they seem quite expensive to me. I will only be buying in sales though. Is it worth opening an account?

Why catalogues? There are hundreds of websites available to shop online, I would imagine most people on here do some, if not most, of their shopping online.

I dont have the money to order more than what i need or more than one size to try and alot of websites you need to spend a certain amount for free delivery. Also how do returns work? Would i have to take parcels to the post office? On foot with dc, so not easy

Sainsbury's clothes don't fall apart after a few months. Tesco and Asda do

mummypig3 · 14/01/2015 20:54

No sainsburys or tesco nearby. Only asda. Fed up of wearing crap clothes. It feels like i'm wasting money keep buying them, but i can't get to any other shops. Not that i could afford to shop anywhere else. Also not easy with dc who wont go on buses without a meltdown

I used to use very a lot. In terms of clothes, there's a good selection and delivery and returns at really easy and convenient.

I did rake up a lot on the catalogue though as it was easy to fall into the buy now pay later trap. If you can be more sensible than me though they're great.

Do you have a credit card? You could order from online shops, pay on a credit card, and as long as you return what you don't want quickly it should be refunded to the card before the bill comes in.

Obviously you would have to be careful not to run up a big bill, but you could do that with a catalogue anyway.

mummypig3 · 14/01/2015 21:02

How did you find the quality of the clothes? It's very i'm looking at

I don't know anything about very but I use littlewoods sometimes and the clothes that I have had have all been decent quality. There was one time that something I had ordered and kept was recalled for a quality issue and I was offered a refund and 10% off something else if I wanted to return it. Delivery is very quick and returns are easy. You have nothing to lose by ordering and seeing for yourself what you think. The worst that could happen is that you send them all back again.

Whitershadeofpale · 14/01/2015 21:29

Very good. They're the same as littlewoods. Different brands vary but overall I was happy.

MakeMeWarmThisWinter · 14/01/2015 23:21

Use asos - free delivery and returns. If you pay £9.99 you get free next day delivery for a year which is dangerous yet amazing

mummypig3 · 15/01/2015 07:44

Thanks everyone will also take a look at littlewoods and asos

Op very is exactly the same as Littlewoods just a lot cheaper.

Just look at the same product on both their websites and you will see the price difference, its the reason I swapped to very from Littlewoods.

I find it easy for me to be honest as I also don't have tons of money to spend on clothes and then swapping them. Very do a collect plus service s i get it delivered free to my local corner shop and collect it from there. The clothes are fab oasis and river island i buy usually and very do a 3 payment thing. They take your total split it in 3, and you pay that each month to make sure you dont get added on interest. if you just pay the minimum then they add interest on. But for now its the only way I can afford to get things I like.

Dont forget to go through the nectar site too, new very customers get double points Smile

Have you thought of buying from Ebay - some great bargains on there?
