Are any of the bra interventionists around this evening?

I measured myself according to your guidelines sometime last year, but at the time I couldn't justify buying new bras (hadn't long picked up some new ones) and luckily the size I was I wearing didn't seem to be too far off what I seemed to need.

Fast forward a few months - some of my older bras need replacing and my boobs have apparently grown a tiny bit. The top side of the breast is spilling out of the cup a little. I've been wearing 32Fs/32FFs.

I've just measured myself and I'm 31.5 inches under the bust and 41.5 inches around the widest point when bent over.

What sorts of bras and sizes should I be looking at? I haven't really got a clue about different styles but I'd love a bra that could give me a proper cleavage - my boobs seem to point in the opposite naturally!

Thank you in advance, I hope you're not getting tired of all these bra threads! Smile

I have a marvel that gives a very high lift - it has a strange side panel thing similar to their bikini tops. It's slightly minimising but lifting at the same time which is why I liked it. It's fine after scooping but I could see me falling out if I overdid it. They didn't have an H in stock to try and I suspect that May have gave a slightly better / more secure fit.

I also got the patsy. Great secure fit and no fallout after scooping. I think the slightly fuller cup helps. Doesn't give a particularly awe inspiring shape though and boobs sit lower than the other styles.

I will have a look at the styles you suggested but it might be March now before the budget allows for more bra buying.

I really like to look of the cleo Lilly and Minnie. The Millie looks a bit odd with the lace at the top but it might just be the colour combos I have been looking at. Marcie looks good too - reminds me a bit of the patsy I just bought.

I think the Bloomsbury could work. The photos I can see on the internet of the dotty spot appear to give a pointy boob look. I've never been able to wear styles like that as (at the risk of TMI) the seam irritates my nipple.

Anyway thank you very much for your help. I really do appreciate it and I will try a cup size up when I go bra shopping to see if it helps with the fit.

Dotty spot is a bit pointy! I have bloomsbury and really quite like it. Marcie is fab on me, amazing uplift, and they're bringing it out in black and nude this season. YIPPEE!! Those Cleo bras are all very good for making your boobs more forward projected, whereas most Freya bras (not the Marvel) tend to point sideways a little more.

Are cleo owned by panache? I know I've bought from panache before - I'm sure the label on at least one of them said cleo but I thought that was the name of the style rather than a separate brand.

If it is then I think cleo would work for me as I previously only ever bought panache bras. I did try some on recently but was trying a 32gg so will try a 32h next time and see if it's any better.

Pumpkinette · 09/01/2015 19:22

That should say *for about two years I only ever bought panache bras.

I have bought other brands.

StatisticallyChallenged · 09/01/2015 19:26

Yes, they're owned by Panache and they do have some similarities. In general Cleo are a bit of a younger brand, and many of their bras are a wee bit narrower.

Oh just spotted this
Cleo Minnie longline bra. I quite fancy this but I don't think it's out yet. I love the look of longline bras but never seen any in big cup sizes. Do you think this would work for me?

HazleNutt · 09/01/2015 20:59

pumpkinette, have you tried longline bras? Freya Piper for example? The wide band gives better support and won't give you such deep lines.

HazleNutt · 09/01/2015 21:00

ha crossed post.

StatisticallyChallenged · 09/01/2015 21:00

The longlines are coming out this season for Cleo...eagerly awaited here too!

I have missed so many bra threads lately. I need to be more alert!
