For me personally, the Superdry one is a bit more trendy.
But the M&S one is longer so it depends what you want it for and how old you are?

rosyrose79 · 05/01/2015 10:41

I'm 29, size 10, need it for the school run and shopping mostly.

I prefer the style of the Superdry myself.

rosyrose79 · 05/01/2015 11:47

does the m&s one seem more ageing?

OP posts:
hellsbellsmelons · 05/01/2015 12:11

Yes it does. I'm 46 and I wouldn't wear it.
Could you try them on and see what you think.
Coats are funny things in pictures.
They often look very different on.

noddyholder · 05/01/2015 12:37

Depends how you wear it I prefer the Marks one for your needs because of the length etc plus not keen on superdry logo

rosyrose79 · 05/01/2015 16:09

I'm not sure about the fur collar, usually its a furry hood.

Any advice??

I'm not overly keen on any of them, sorry. But that's just different tastes I suppose.

Of the three my favourite is the superdry one, it's nice enough if a little boring. As a brand the stuff is usually good quality but 'cause it's fairly plain I think you'd be paying for the logo.

I'm about the same age as you and I'm sorry but I think the other two are quite frumpy and old looking imo, though I do like the colour of that seasalt one. Maybe try some 'younger' shops, river island, topshop, asos etc?

rosyrose79 · 06/01/2015 11:49

Thanks chocolatereindeer for the advice. I've been in maternity clothes for the past few years and lost touch with shopping, will check out the ships you recommended.

I agree with chocolate
Superdry one is OK.
The other 2 are frumpy!
ASOS have loads of parka's
I quite like this from NEXT
Not into puffa but this lipsy one is quite nice

hellsbellsmelons · 06/01/2015 11:55

Actually really liking this one

rosyrose79 · 07/01/2015 17:31

I have had a look at topshop and river island, although gorgeous jackets they don't look warm enough being cotton outer shell. The Superdry one is very warm, only thing is in black the logos are in white embroidery so they are too in your face, perhaps the navy or army green look better since the logo stitching is the same colour??

Do you actually want a waterproof coat or just a coat. A lots of the asos ones won't be waterproof, same with lispy etc. All fine for just a coat but not for the rain.

I have just bought a seasalt 3 in 1 coat and it's good and waterproof which was my main want. I have plenty of wool coats for non rainy days though so not too worried.

rosyrose79 · 07/01/2015 18:54

Showerproof would be good. I have a targetdry one already for very wet days.
