Mine is to get my hair cut more often despite the fact that I hate going to the hairdresser

Oooh love the look of those youtube exercisers Ujjayi!

This year, I will do regular exercise, get rid of the christmas podge and save for the handbag I want.

Floisme · 01/01/2015 15:39

Mine are the same as last year - because they um ... went so well Blush
Try and buy more ethically.
Learn to wear lipstick.

ElizabethHoover · 01/01/2015 15:47

i think I want to kill those two on tone it up

happyfeet1 · 01/01/2015 15:52

Thanks Elizabeth you make it sound easy.

Ujjayi · 01/01/2015 15:53

Elizabeth - I did warn that they are annoyingly perfect & peppy! But honestly those workouts are brilliant & results show quite quickly. As a 40-something woman, I'm thrilled to find a regime which not only has increased my strength & tone but also has unexpected benefits like increased energy & glowing skin... I'll put up with "annoying" for that Wink

ElizabethHoover · 01/01/2015 15:54

do they ALWAYS look so perfect?

Ujjayi · 01/01/2015 16:01

Yep but then that is part of their job. I find Tracey Anderson grating too. Her Mat Workout dvd is good but her instructions are atrocious & her constant pouting & preening is laughable. The Tone It Up women don't do that - they really go for it, constantly give feedback on where you should feel it & instructions are very clear.

bloomingheather · 01/01/2015 16:29

Thanks for mentioning Tone It Up Ujjayi - have signed up for their updates and will have a better look at their website later.
My health resolutions are to start running again - going to run with a club at least once a week; rely less on ready meals and eat more vegetables and grains - discovered the Medicinal Chef blog on another thread and I'm going to use that and the Tone It Up one for meal ideas. I eat well at breakfast and lunch but slip as the day goes on and I get more tired. I have IBS and reflux and really need think carefully about what I eat.
Beauty: use hand cream daily; push back cuticles every time I paint my nails and get my eyebrows tinted once a month.
Style: Quite happy with this but I just need to spend less!

muddlingalongquitenicely · 01/01/2015 19:09

Ive just signed up to the blogilates newsletter/videos and watching her first video today with a hangover was not a good idea lol way too happy and bright for the way i was feeling!
Will come and join the vogue posts shortly and say hello

Ujjayi · 01/01/2015 19:36

Muddling - I've also heard very good things about Blogilates. Hangover + peppy fitness instructor = depression!

Let us know how you get on.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/01/2015 19:53

Hair is short (and dyed by me) so my resolution is to go every 6 weeks, not the "ooh it looks okay" bit because I know it will go from OK to cack in the space of a week.

Keep my colour lighter as I'm getting older

My nails are weak and at work I have to wear gloves, handwash very frequently, and cannot wear any nail product (limited to my non-work days and holidays)

I've had my pesky gallbladder out so now I can (hopefully) get a bit fitter.
My aim is to weigh myself every month and measure waist/hips/chest and keep a notebook to inspire me.

I do my armpits with wax and legs with an epilator.
I bought myself some fake tan last year so I must get that out.

I don't smoke or drink so that's good Grin

I'm off to sort my wardrobe out now, anything that's not flattering will need to make way.

Over the Christmas holidays with visitors, shopping, trips out ,appointments and taking DH to work I've had one lie in morning, which was today. I got up at 9am, other days have been 6.30am. Week days when I'm at work or the DC need to get off to school, I'm up at 6.30 or before.
I reckon lie-ins aren't good for me sadly, gives me a headache.
So early starts, is that a plan Grin

GeorginaWorsley · 01/01/2015 23:36

For me 2014 was the year I embraced exercise and lost weight so I want to maintain that in 2015.
Am Definitely going to check out the Tone it Up duo too!
Am going to try to have at least 2 wine free days a week as well.Blush

Chimichangaz · 02/01/2015 07:55

Sort my style out - never seem to have anything to wear but have a wardrobe full of clothes. Buy quality not quantity
Get my nails back in shape after disastrous shellac last Feb
Drink more water
Get back on the exercise wagon (DVDs at home, will check out Tone it up and Blogilates) and do one yoga class per week
Eat better by cooking more (and try to persuade DS that chicken nuggets are not the perfect meal...)

I have lots of non-S & B related wishes for 2015 too...

BlueEyedWonder · 02/01/2015 08:37

Beauty resolutions:
Hair cut and highlighted every 6 weeks to keep my bob looking chic and tidy.
Professional blow drys for special occasions
Learn how to apply eyeliner. I love the look just not sure how to do it.
Fashion resolutions:
Enjoy the clothes I have and buy less
Quality rather than quantity
Buy what I like rather than what I think I should have in my wardrobe (e.g. a white shirt)
Health resolutions:
Am a runner but have been injured so hoping to get back into it
30 day shred in January
Drink more water
3 sensible meals a day and no snacking

GeorginaWorsley · 02/01/2015 09:03

I started shred last Jan and it helped me lose over 2 stone so can't recommend highly enough Grin

Leviticus · 02/01/2015 10:03

I've GOT to stop biting the skin around my nails this year. It's not just that they look dreadful but I look so dreadful doing it and I'm aware I do it all the time, in front of people.

I want to start running. I got to week 4 of C25K in the summer, I think I could possibly pick it back up there.

I like the look of those annoying beach girls - thanks for the rec Uujayi. I'll try to do a mix of that, shred and Tracy Anderson in the mornings if I can't get out for a run. I really want to sort my stomach out - youngest DC is almost 2. I think because it's quite stretch marked I've just thought 'what's the point?' But it can be improved!

I know I'd look better in the clothes I have if I were half a stone lighter and toned up so I'm not thinking about wardrobe too much.

I'm going to buy a red lipstick today if I get chance. Possibly the Kate Moss for Rimmel or L'Oreal's Blake Lively one as a cheap way to try it out.

TheHappinessTrap · 02/01/2015 11:01

I've done a massive wardrobe overhaul having made good use of sales. I have new shoes, boots, trousers, skirts, tops and sweaters and, um, socks! I'm happy with skin, hair and nail routine but I am also renewing my commitment to sleep and time in bed. It's boring but I'll read in bed for an hour before going to bed at 10 - goodbye aging sleepy look!

MorrisZapp · 02/01/2015 13:30

I only need to look utterly freakin hot once a year, at the work Christmas party. I always end up scrabbling around in a panic about my outfit and shoes. This year I intend to use the entire year to find the ideal dress and shoes, so that my fab outfit is ready to go and I can relax. If this means buying a party dress in July then so be it.

I need to buy about three more pairs of jeans but I have to get it right. There's no rushing that one.

MorrisZapp · 02/01/2015 13:35

Yes, we need to ignore the diktat about white shirts and trench coats. Those articles are written by people who never wear white shirts or 'a classic trench'. They're sitting there in jeans and jumpers too.

GeorginaWorsley · 02/01/2015 13:56

I can't do 'crisp white shirt "
So uncomfortable
I have go have soft fabrics I doGrin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/01/2015 16:50

I adore the, 'crisp white shirt' look, but it is disastrous on me, sadly.

RonaldMcDonald · 02/01/2015 17:12

Crisp white shirt used to be my workwear fav
I think v intimidating when done well

I am considering seeing a p t to sort out my crap arse
It is as flat as a pancake and I'd like it to be hilariously like a cartoon bum for a while
I spin now which I weirdly enjoy but my legs were always good/lanky
I think I need weights/squats but I'm too lazy in reality

Nails remain short squval and covered in pale pink Rimmel ( since 1990 ) must sort

ElizabethHoover · 02/01/2015 17:13

i love shirts - Boden cambridge one was ace and Uniqlo. Also my Gap checked boyfriend one is ALWAYS admired by men at work. ( oddly as I dont think its the best)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/01/2015 17:15

I'd like a red checked one - button down shirts make me look much bigger than I am though.
