Anyone done one? I'd like a 3 or 5 day package plan for total cleansing and a weight loss kick start...

Recommendations much appreciated!

It probably isn't, just a heck of a lot more powerful than the one I already had.
Non lumpy soup now in our house too, love it.

Trills · 28/12/2014 16:39

People keep saying the word like it's a super-special-magical-device. :)

Lizzylou · 28/12/2014 16:55

Nah, just extra specially whizzy and powerful. I like my soups all lump free, great for stuff like pesto and hummus too.
It can whizz up nuts and seeds etc, it's very good.
I wanted a Vitamix, but that was £500, so, erm, no.

Trills · 28/12/2014 17:04

Whizzing up seeds etc sounds very powerful!

msfreud · 28/12/2014 17:18

I have a Nutribullet too and compared to the blender I had before, it's more powerful and also much easier to clean as the cup is relatively small and you can use the cup to drink your smoothie from.

I'm starting the Carol Vorderman detox tomorrow. I'm not looking to lose weight, but I've tried it before and it did wonders for my terrible complexion. I'm wondering now if I should kick it off with a fruit&veg-athon for 3 days. I'd do anything for lovely clear skin!!

Lizzylou · 28/12/2014 17:36

Exactly MrsF, the faff of cleaning all gone. Juicers are a pain in that respect.

thekitchenfairy · 28/12/2014 18:16

For me, resetting means finding my off switch and then being aware of when I am full so I don't over eat. I am a terrible picker and when I eat sugary crap my blood sugar is all over the place and I crave and eat all the wrong things.

Juicing kills my hunger and desire to snack, starting the day with a shot of something like ginger that is really nutrient rich also seems to give me a huge energy boost. it makes me thirsty too and I need lots of water. And after a few days I can't even think about caffeine or booze and it totally redefines treats, appetite etc and I genuinely only crave the good nutrient rich food.

And my appetite is adjusted when I reintroduce solid foods- I need much less to feel full and if I fancy a treat then the smallest taste is a treat- anything more is too much.

Sorry April, you're not allowed to use the boards to sell stuff like that.

Like that = "in that way", not "stuff like that"

butterflymacqueen · 28/12/2014 20:04

Try Carol Voderman's for 14 days - excellent.

LadyCybilCrawley · 28/12/2014 20:12

I am going to do a 21 day program - eat healthy and kick my very very very bad caffeine addiction starting January 7th if anyone wants to join me - first 10 days just fruit and veg, then add lean protein, then add in other foods gradually - lots of wAter, no snacking, no processed foods - just healthy eating really with a kick start to kick my bad habits

MilkThistle187 · 28/12/2014 20:38

Another nutribullet fan. I have a green smoothie every morning, good start to the day.

That sounds great Sybil are you following anything specific?

LadyCybilCrawley · 29/12/2014 00:10

kitchenfairy it's the "standard process" theory - whole foods, lots of water - standard process also have vitamins you can buy to have along the way but you can do it without that too by following the principles
