?

shoes

to cover arms

what do you think?

Like the dress
Find the shoes too heavy for that dress but I would wear it with black shoes
Don't think the cardigan matches the dress, too fussy, something a bit simpler I think would better (ie not crochet effect) but hard to say. Might look ok on.

nailpolish · 13/10/2006 10:19

pink then

schneebly · 13/10/2006 10:19

SSSandy - I think you might be right about the cardi, was originally looking for plain but I used to have a crocheted one and loved it so might get it but not wear with the dress Hmmmm - am still leaning towards non-white shoes bit not discounted the idea of pink ones - just not sure I would ever wear them again!

Actually, that is nice, but I meant more like a pashmina thingy.

schneebly · 13/10/2006 10:29

Ah ok - see how clueless I am!

It doesnt help living in the middle of nowhere with no shops and everyone dresses like farmers because they are farmers!

Like the idea of angora/cashmere - v.cute

I did think that Fio - but I am quite a 'colourful' person even in winter, hate the thought of wearing anything too drab. I already have a lot of pink in my wardrobe so dont think anyone would notice .

lol - I think I might be one of those people who wears stripes a lot and looks like a childrens TV presenter!

What about one of those clingy little cardigans that Nigella Lawson wears. (You know the ones we were discussing yesterday and whether she sews them on).

Thing is you don't want anything adding bulk to your waist. Otherwise you're going to end up looking like a box. I have a lovely 50's style dress with a wide skirt like that and I love it but you really need a defined waist for it so you don't end up looking like the backend of a bus IYSWIM. I wear it with a close fitting black cardigan which stops below the waist. I found that more flattering than short ones that stop at the waist itself because they made me look wider.

schneebly · 13/10/2006 11:08

good plan SSSandy - I hope it will be okay as although I am big I do have quite a defined waist - will look for cardi like you describe. Thanks
Thanks to all of you!
