Boots for a mum that aren't mum boots but not too high fashion either

I usually wear walking shoes to work because they're waterproof, I can wash the mud off and they don't look horribly scruffy. But I'd rather be a bit smarter. The obvious choice is mum boots in a jodhpur style but that's clearly a no. Any suggestions? I'm a wide footed size 6.

I've got these- they are completely waterproof and very comfy. I have wide calves too.
