bra help...

Bane of my life bras!! Measured at bravissimo around 15 month ago as 38h....wore this Size for a while but noticed when i next bought some that they were very tight. Been plodding on with them and assuming it was just due to baby. But they haven't settled back down and all my bra look stupid. 38" underbust and 53" over doing the proper angles and tight tape. I can't seem to find any bras to fit these measurements, can anyone help? I prefer a slight padded bra and not full cup but will take anything at the moment!! Thanks

Your measurements suggest a staring point of 38K which is a few cups bigger than your current cup size. Wearing your 38H, can you scoop and then tell me whether you have overspill or if the central gore is sitting away from your body? If you put your bra on back to front, how far from your body can you pull the band?

Agree with SF, I suspect it feels tight because you need more cup space

Sorrell - when i scoop in fully the bottom of the cup is comfy but I have serious four boob spillage at the top and even still at the sides of the top. The central gore sticks out at a funny angle away from body - definitely not flat. If I put it on backwards the band sits firm and I can only pull it away the max two fingers, Comfortably more like one finger x

Agreed. Obvious spillage means you need to go up a few cup sizes. On me, 1 cup size too small is very subtle i.e. a tiny ridge when breathing in. 2 cups too small is more obvious.

From your description I would guess you need to go up about 3 cup sizes, and quite possibly more

Right. So if I start with a 38K, maybe a 40JJ as well I should be in the right ball park? Thanks for the help guys. I get so frustrated with bras sometimes. Wish I xould just chop off half my boobs lol

I really don't think you need a bigger band. You're measuring 38", and to be honest generally it is only very slender women who need to wear a band size up from their measurement - those of us with more squidgy torsos often need to go down in the band to get adequate support. Your description of how the band fits back to front and after scooping sounds like the problem is the cups. I'd be more inclined to try maybe a 38JJ/K/KK and see how that goes.
