Is there a good alternative to Mitchum Antipersprant Spray

I have used Mitchum for as long as I can remember but the new style spray mechanism keeps breaking. My latest one has lasted about 3 squirts!

Is there a good effective deodorant that anyone can recommend as an alternative?

A dusting of bicarbonate of soda!

TheSpottedZebra · 21/12/2014 17:21

Bicarb?

Ha. My pits would be offended at the suggestion that mere bicarb could stop them sweating or stinking.

WalkingThePlank · 22/12/2014 10:52

Sukie, yes I know I have to twist it...

I use the roll on

Takes a while to dry but I generally run about the house half nude doing other things till it dries

Wolfiefan · 22/12/2014 11:41

I use sure 48hr cream.

Apophenia · 22/12/2014 13:45

I use a roll on from the pharmacy called 'anhydrol forte' have used it since I was a teen. Roll on at night, wash off in morning - no sweat that day. It's great.

I've had trouble with sweating for years and years. Tried everything! I went to my doctor in the end who gave me Driclor. You put it on before you go to bed once every 3/4 weeks and it stops you sweating. It's amazing. xx

Clinique roll-on works better for me that Mitchum. It dries fairly fast - just put it on then dress bottom half and it's dry enough to put on a top / blouse.

tshirtsuntan · 22/12/2014 15:49

Triple dry spray is good too.

Coumarin · 22/12/2014 17:20

Mitchum roll on burns my pits after a couple of uses. Really sore red patches of 'burnt' skin. Maybe it's because I shave them as DH doesn't have any problems.

So, marking to read and take notes later. It works really well when it's not taking my skin off but I need an alternative.

Rocket1982 · 22/12/2014 18:05

zebra, have you tried it? nothing would work for me, i tried loads of deoderants. tried bicarb, didn't think it would work, but more than 24 hours later no odour! antiperspirants for me are now a waste of money.

MaraThonbar · 22/12/2014 19:09

Mitchum roll-on, with a quick blast of cold air from the hairdryer to dry it. Looks a bit bonkers but works!

RichTeaAreCrap · 22/12/2014 22:16

Pink if you are going to Florida buy one there called Secret - its amazing really, work better than any on this thread for me.

PinkSparklyJumboStocking · 23/12/2014 11:07

Thanks RichTea, I'll keep a look out for that. I'll try it when I'm out there and stock up if I like it!

A Dove roll in cream. Boots for about a fiver. Amazing stuff.

MrsMarigold · 24/12/2014 17:28

Mitcham solid stick

Misssss · 24/12/2014 21:10

Driclor works but it can make you really sore. I really sweat and the best spray is the Vaseline one. It's fabulous. Discovered it by chance and no wouldn't do without it.

trufflesnout · 24/12/2014 22:11

Mitchum stick here too. Has anyone tried the Biosen stick? Japanese mineral stick thing, aluminium free. It's always next to the Mitchum when I go to pick some up but too scared to deviate from what I know works to try it.

tigerdriverII · 24/12/2014 22:14

Vichy 48 hour, not the scented one. It's pricey (£8 a pop) but lasts for ages and is invincible!
