Final (desperate) attempt at something to wear for night out (with pic)

Recently posted how I have no social life and therefore nothing to wear. I have an imminent night out to go to and have spent most of the afternoon feeling rubbish and trying things on that make me feel frumpy, flabby armed etc.

This is my final hope I think. If anyone can let me know what they think, but perhaps unlike some comments on one of the other post be nice Blush I'd rather not have the comments about my dress style being rubbish as I feel very self concious posting a picture.

I love the dress and shoes, you look good
The only thing I don't like is the contrast with bare arms and black legs
If you are having bare arms I would suggest a finer pair of tights
If you want heavy tights I would put a black cardigan on to balance it out

You look fabulous.

Oh I know how you feel, I had my first night out for a million years last week and tried on everything in the wardrobe twice!

Dress is really lovely.
Heels would be better, but the boots would work well for a casual evening. Plus if they're comfy and you're going to be walking anywhere you're o to a winner!

You have amazing legs and i love the black tights and boots combo.
I also loved that black top in your other post.
I would be tempted to wear that top with a short skirt, the black tights and boots.

Thanks again. Yes the dress is from Monsoon, bout 7 years ago!

I haven't had a bra intervention, would love one. Went to Bravissimo once, had dd when she was 5 months old and they asked me to sit her on a dusty floor as she was crying- I left as felt that was not nice. I would love a proper intervention though- currently wearing a 32d.

I don't have any short skirts, however I might be able to borrow some shoes from a neighbour- yay! I also have a purple cropped cardigan that I could wear with the dress.

I shall go to the ball Grin
