So I'm swooning over these boots:

www.schuh.co.uk/womens/ugg-australia-grandle-brown-boots/1482336020/

I have tried then on with jeans (look good) and dress (looks good too) and I'm almost sold on them but just wondered if you think they are a bit limited to certain looks I.E jeans or boho dress.

I mean, they wouldn't look good with a smart dress would they? But then at the same time I don't wear smart dresses very often....

Just don't want to waste my money and find I hardly ever wear them.
Confused

Yeah, I'm not sure how they'd look with a dressier coat. Wore them today with my North Face Arctic Parka, some nice woollies, and a short skirt.

I don't think they would look good with a smart dress but with jeans or casual dresses. maybe combine it with a leather jacket if you like that look

Sorry I'm late getting back.

Mine are a bit like this but much "older and rougher" looking!

Love them!

flux500 · 12/12/2014 09:36

thanks stupidflanders they are really nice actually :) are they lined to be warm? The ugg attraction is that
I'll be walking a mile a day in the lovely edinburgh winter and already suffer with my feet having any excuse to be cold!

Tried my boots on again this morning and they actually look better with short skirts and floral dresses, than with jeans. I'm still thinking it over.

My mum likes them but so be honest she always say that and then if later I say they are manly she'll say oh I always thought they were rather manly lol.

I have Kensingtons and they are a NIGHTMARE to get on and off. No zip. Those look much better.

I think you'll be happy with your choice (since we're obviously likeminded). I really like the combo of a dress with them. I've found them really adaptable but at the end of the day like all shoes, they won't suit everything! They're a good sturdy boot that you don't have to be precious about in winter!

I wish I got lined ones- I didn't know they existed at the time.

I have kensingtons. Have owned them for 4 years and do wear them a lot in winter. I actually have to be very disciplined not to wear them every day as they are so warm its very tempting.

I ordered the Ugg Gershwin boots last Friday and they arrived today. They are very comfy, warm and waterproof. Looking forward to wearing them now!
