Well sorry but my DS wears braces.. I buy him trendy ones in lots of colours from Ebay. He is 6 and mainly gets around by crawling due to CP, so he loses his trousers a lot if I don't take measures to prevent it. He doesn't look particularly Tommy Coopierish I don't think..

Also, Tesco, Vertbaudet and some others now, do those trousers with the elastic-and-button-hole things at the inside of the waistband, one each side of the body. You can draw them in invisibly. These work quite well for DS too.

Trousers from Primark.

So far I have been impressed to find that most of their trousers have adjustable waistbands, right up to the 9-10 age group.

DarkAlleyBongo · 07/10/2006 13:46

mothercare school trousers have adjustable waist bands. My ds is the same.

Gobbledispook · 07/10/2006 13:46

M&S and Next have trousers and jeans with adjustable waist (like maternity ones )

CreepyJess · 07/10/2006 13:47

(hmm that would be why DS does not look like TC. I guess he could be called a 'bit Bobby Ballish' .. but that would be one of the nicer things he gets called so I don't care..

cloth nappies.

put a disposable on dd3 and all of her trousers fall down.

LIZS · 07/10/2006 13:49

Gap and h and m also do adjustable waists. h and m also do skinny elasticated belts for around £2

MamaGhoul · 07/10/2006 13:51

I find Gap sizing is narrowish. Hence if you use their adjustable elastic trousers, they don't bag too much round the waist, unlike, say, the H&M ones which also have adjustable waistbands, but are a wider cut. Also Mini Boden.
